Communication:
The key to an effective e-Learning environment
Let students know what is expected from them: - the course goals - hardware needed - activities guidelines
Show students how they can communicate with each other and with
you. Provide them with demonstrations of tools/activities,
and useful links.
Encourage students:- to get to know each other- to work in groups and individually- to share and exchange experiences even when working individually
Provide students with different tools that can help cater to their learning
preferencesby using synchronous and asynchronous activities
Use those different tools in order to engage students and promote
active participation.
Encourage discussions, reflections, questions and answers,
interaction, collaboration.
Provide students with content resources that can help them build
up their learning..
Design activities to make students´ ideas and thoughts visible, where they can elaborate on concepts given by
asking, responding, talking, and analyzing, thus building their own
understanding, enlarging their ways of seeing things, and sharing ideas
and opinions.
Design meaningful activities to wrap up the course units and the
course itself, and give students due dates for their
readings, productions , and assignments.
BE PRESENT ENCOURAGING, PATIENT, UNDERSTANDING,
HELPFUL, RESPONSIBLE, CREATIVE, ENGAGED.
