Planning 10 & Digital Literacy 10 E-Portfolio Assignment http://plan10eportfolios.wikispaces.com/ Goal: T o create an e-portfolio that represents a purposeful collection of students work that shows effort, progress, achievement, skills & interests over time. Overview: Using web creation software (MS Frontpage or Dreamweaver), students will create a personal e-portfolio website for any or all of the purposes below: Showcase your Learning Holistic Assessment T ool Employment Potential Career or Learning Path Process: Collection & Selection of Evidence Reflection & Connection Presentation Students will be able to create an e-portflio web site containing the following: 1. Home Page  —containing welcome and explanatory information concerning E-Portfolio i. Welcome: short message explaining the purpose of EPortfolio and a welcome message (1-2 sentences) -  greeting and introduce yourself -the  goal of your e-portfolio (eg./ "showcase my originality and creativity" "demonstrate my academic growth/achievement " "present my extra-curricular skills and interests" "showcase a special  project or performance") ii. Picture or welcome video on Home Page iii. Brief biography (text, audio or video) -name, age, where born -a bit about your family and where you live -describe yourself (or how would your friends describe you) -what are some of your interests/hobbies/passions/ sports? -what would we find you doing in your spare time? -any future goals, if you know them at this time 2. Resume  —containing student objective, education (schools student attended), student awards and certificates, and student interests 3. Academic Class Artifacts  —3 examples of academic class work (eg./ English essay or sonnet, scanned Math or Science test/lab, Social Studies powerpoint) 4. Applied Skills or Electives Artifacts --- 2 or more examples of projects (eg./ Drama, HomeEc, DigLit, Tech, etc.) 4. Interests Page  —a page designed with multimedia about student’s interests i. Hobbies: description and explanation with links, pictures, and videos ii. Links to sites that reflect your interests (eg./ music, sports, photography , cooking, anime, your blog, etc.) 5. Photo Gallery Page  —two photo albums created (eg./ travel destination, pictures taken in class or at school, extra-curricular, family, friends) Portfolios tell a story…put in anything relevant that helps tell  your unique story
