NCTE Authorization decree Shree Amirtha College of Education started in 16.11.2005. When affiliated byPeriyar University each and every year hundred students completed their examination with successfullyafter that the year 2009 - 2010 the Institution functioning affiliated by Tamil Nadu Teachers Education

University. After that the University announced that the B.Ed I year Course changed into II year course in10.03.2012 under the control of NCTE for that announcement. In this institution NCTE committee members

visited for inspection, so this institution functioning with all the Basic facilities. NAAC Recognized ShreeAmirtha College of Education as an ‘B’ Grade institution in 2014 and out gone students were well settled

and working with different places.

Contributions inthe field ofEducation

The main focus of the College has been rural and urban development. Initially students would visit aparticular village, organize a work camp for about 5 days and help build a road, clean Temple that

used to be destroyed by Natural calamities. One village was adopted for overall development. Some ofthe other outreach programmes organized by the College through the social work department: Annual

blood donation camp Annual work camp in villages (College to Village) Awareness programmes onsocial issues like HIV / AIDS, Dengue, Cancer child abuse, etc. Service to Orphanages, old age homes

etc. Adoption of villages affected by Natural calamities. Campus cleanliness Drive. Observance ofIndependence Day, Republic Day, Women’s Day etc. The College promotes collaborations with

likeminded institutions, MOUs and Organizations. Records of these visits are documented.

In the sports and cultural competition conducted by TNTEU in March 2014, our College students participated andwon the prizes. We are proud to inform that among 657 Educational Colleges, Our student teachers stood First in

100mts Running and Second Place in Elocution competition in the District level and Third Place in 100mts Runningin the Zonal level Sports meet. Our student teachers participated in the State level competition also. M.

Leelavathi won Second Place in Elocution competition in District level. M. Narmatha won Third Place in 100mtsRunning in Zonal level Competition.
