Welcome to the Hong Kong TangoFest 2012 – Celebrate the Dance!

There’s no separating tango music and dance. At our first TangoFest in 2010, we explored how the two had evolved together in a multi-media show, The Story of Tango. Last year, bandoneonist Ryoto Komatsu brought us The Sound of Tango with a concert and live music at our Grand Milonga. This year, our focus is tango’s rich variation in dance styles as we Celebrate the Dance.

We are proud to have as our special guests Gabriel Misse & Analia Centurion, the epitome of Villa Urquiza elegance, Ricardo Viqueira & María Darritchon, with their tightly honed “estilo milonguero”, and Sebastian Jimenez & Maria Ines Bogado, two of the most stylish salon dancers to have established themselves in recent years.

As for the music, we’re mixing it with memories in our Friday evening “Noche de la Nostalgia” led by bandoneonists Fernando Rezk from Buenos Aires and Alvin Cheng from Taiwan, followed by a night of dance with performances by some of Asia’s finest couples – setting the tone for our weekend of celebration. Welcome to this year’s festival – and come back again for the next one.

阿根廷探戈的音樂與舞蹈是二為一體的。在2010年首次舉辦的探戈節—《探戈的故事》，我們探究出兩者如何同時展現在一個多媒體節目內。去年，我們從日本請來著名探戈手風琴家小松亮太為我們舉辦一場音樂會，並將現場音樂表演帶到我們的大師演出舞會。探戈節今年踏入第三屆，我們集中於表現探戈種類繁多的舞蹈風格。

我們十分榮幸邀請到具有 Villa Urquiza 地區優雅風格精髓的 Gabriel Misse 與 Analia Centu-rion、受 milonguero 風格磨練的 Ricardo Viqueira 與 María Darritchon 及在近年被譽為其中一對最具潮流風格的沙龍舞者 Sebastian Jimenez 與 Maria Ines Bogado。

至於音樂方面，我們將把它融入於星期五黃昏的「懷舊之夜」回憶當中。首先會舉行由來自阿根廷布宜諾斯艾利斯及台灣的探戈手風琴手 Fernando Rezk 與程希智先生所主導的音樂會，然後是一個讓各位盡情享受探戈的晚上，當中更會有數對來自亞洲的探戈高手演出。我們希望這個「懷舊之夜」能夠為整個歡慶的周末帶來一個愉快的開始！歡迎各位參加本屆探戈節，願大家享受今年的節目，並在下屆再聚。

Gabriel Misse & Analia Centurion

Hong Kong TangoFest welcome Gabriel & Analia for their first ever workshops and performances in Hong Kong. Gabriel began dancing tango at age six under the guidance of prominent milongueros such as Antonio Todaro and Pepito Avellaneda. A New York Times dance reviewer this year compared his footwork to “an exploding cloud... gliding, lingering and sweeping across the floor in currents stronger and calmer than the firestorms they often contain.”

Analia Centurion began her dance studies at six, taking up tango when she was 16. She is a chore-ographer and performer, she has been a member of the dance companies of such notable tango luminaries as Mora Godoy and Juan Carlos Copes, and has performed with the tango singer and actor Cacho Castaña.

香港探戈節歡迎 Gabriel 及 Analia 來港作首次演出及工作坊。Gabriel六歲開始跟隨幾位傑出阿根廷探戈大師包括 Antonio Todaro 及 Pepito Avellaneda 學習探戈。一位美國紐約時報的舞蹈評論家在今年曾經對 Gabriel 的演出有這樣的評價：「他的舞蹈就像爆炸時所形成的雲，所產生的氣流纏綿地在地上橫掃、滑翔，比起以往更強但更平靜。」

Analia 同樣在六歲時開始學習舞蹈，直至16歲她首次接觸探戈。她既是一位編舞同時亦是一位表演者，曾經在很多著名的探戈舞蹈團體工作，她更與探戈歌手及演員 Cacho Castaña 合作演出，被全球公認為優秀探戈老師。

Ricardo Viqueira & María Darritchon

“I try to teach what I personally like to dance. For me it’s a dance with close embrace where both man and woman dance on their own axis. This allows for a dance in small spaces with the couple always mindful of their own sense of space allowing them to dance unrestricted by steps or figures” says Ricardo.

Born in Buenos Aires in 1958, Ricardo began dancing tango at an early age and then studied music at Conservatorio Delva. Later he became an organizer of now famous milongas including at Club Sin Rumbo. Maria, who was also born in Buenos Aires, worked as a lawyer and English teacher before committing to tango full-time eight years ago. A student of Ricardo’s before be-coming his partner, together they have performed at all Buenos Aires’ major milongas and toured widely in Europe.

「我嘗試教授一些我喜歡的舞蹈。在我來說，這是一種男女各自在自己的軸線上卻又有緊密接觸的舞蹈。這樣，即使在很細小的空間，只要每對舞伴時刻緊記留意周圍的空間，他們都可以不受舞步或動作所限制而隨心所欲地享受舞蹈。」Ricardo 這樣說。

Ricardo 在1958年出生於布宜諾斯艾利斯，年幼時已經開始學習舞蹈，其後在Conservatorio Delva 學習音樂。後來，他成為現在一些非常有名的探戈舞會的策劃者。Maria 在布宜諾斯艾利斯出生及成長，8年前，她是一名律師及英語教師，其後全心投入於探戈當中。她在成為 Ricardo 的舞伴前是他的學生，之後他們就一起在布宜諾斯艾利斯的主要探戈舞會演出及教學，更曾到歐洲作巡迴演出。

Sebastian & Maria Ines are the upcoming couple to watch and follow. Despite being relative new-comers, they bring a maturity and sophistication that places them in the ranks of top performing and teaching couples in the world today.

Winners of the 2010 Tango Salon World Championships, their classic style embodies the simplicity of traditional maestros and milongueros combined with a solid foundation of technical precision and clever musicality.

Fernando Rezk

Fernando, whose grandfather was a bandoneonist in the 1930s, has been captivated by tango music and its primary instrument since he was nine years old. Teaching students from around the world in Buenos Aires since the 1990s, he has performed with musicians and dancers, at stage performances and at festivals in both Argentina and Europe. After a successful visit to Asia in 2010, Fernando returned both in 2011 and this year for an extended period to teach and perform in Hong Kong.

Fernando 的祖父是30年代的探戈手風琴手，自9歲開始受探戈音樂薰陶，而探戈手風琴是他第一種學習的樂器。他在90年代開始在布宜諾斯艾利斯教授來自世界各地的學生，並在阿根廷及歐洲與音樂家和舞者在舞台或探戈節中表演。由於他在2010年亞洲的交流取得成功，遂於去年再次重臨香港，今年更特意延長在港的逗留時間作演出及教學。

Alvin Cheng 程希智

Bandoneon player and orchestra leader of iTango in Taiwan, Alvin Cheng began studying music when he was very young and had formed various bands playing rock, jazz, heavy metal and new compositions in his university years.

Alvin met tango in 2001 and, in 2004, left his full-time job to travel to Buenos Aires, to learn the bandoneón under the tutelage of bandoneonist Julio Pane. He subsequnetly went to study with professor and bandoneonist Juan José Mosalini at the Ecole Nationale de Musique Edgar-Varése Gennevilliers in Paris.

Under Alvin’s leadership, iTango now performs regularly in Taipei. In 2008, he was invited to appear in the Standard Chartered Bank TV commercial as a bandoneonist jamming tango with renowned Hong Kong jazz musicians Ted Lo and Eugene Pao.

手風琴手及台灣愛探戈樂團團長程希智年輕時便開始學習音樂， 更在大學年代組合了各種樂隊演奏搖滾樂， 爵士樂， 重金屬和其他新創作。於2001年巧遇探戈， 2004年辭去全職的工作前往阿根廷布宜諾斯艾利斯， 在手風琴家 Julio Pane 的指導下開始了手風琴的學習。後來更到巴黎的法國國立音樂學院 Ecole Nationale de Musique Edgar-Varése Gennevilliers 向教授兼手風琴家 Juan José Mosalini 學習。在程希智的領導下， 愛探戈樂團現在定期於台北舉行演出。2008年， 他應邀演出渣打銀行的電視廣告， 以手風琴手的姿態與多位香港爵士樂樂手包括羅尚正和包以正等演譯探戈音樂。

Tango nostalgia in Hong Kong

Over the years, memories grow hazy. This seems to be particularly true when it comes to tango, perhaps because it’s an activity largely conducted late at night, and sometimes under the influence of alcohol (less now in my case than previously).

Indeed, it might be the very haziness – combined with a lack of record-keeping – that got me wondering a few months ago just how many dancers TangoTang had brought to Hong Kong since the club was founded in 1999. I knew it was somewhere in the tens, but more than fifty? A hundred even?

I drew up a list and posted it on FaceBook. The list elicited more than 30 responses, which both lengthened it and added detail. I was able to put years by most couples – and in all cases but one include their surnames (Mina & Giraldo were the exception; even Google doesn’t seem to help here.)

The club’s total now stands at more than 80 – the roll of honour opposite has 81, all of them I am glad to say, brought in legally on work visas and with their profit taxes paid afterwards. It doesn’t include the various musicians we’ve brought, or the DJs, or the various itinerant dancers who passed through as cast members with shows and who led a practica or gave a few semi-private lessons.

I remember most of them. But what they taught? Now that’s a little hazy.

Raymond & Lily Hong Kong 香港

Raymond & Lily, Salon Tango Champion in Asia and finalists in World Tango Championship in 2011, are two of Hong Kong’s most excit-ing and elegant dancers and teachers. This year they were invited to perform in some of Buenos Aires’ most prestigious milongas, including Salon Canning and La Baldosa. They have also been invited to peform and teach at festivals and workshops across Asia, including Taipei, Seoul, Tokyo, Nagoya, Singapore, Sydney, Shanghai, Beijing and Bali. In 2005, they launched Otro-tango, introducing tango to a whole new generation of dancers. They present the Otra Noche milonga every Friday, and host the popular Practica Otro every week. Lily & Raymond perform at Sunday’s Farewell Milonga.

Raymond 和 Lily 是 2011 年世界沙龍探戈亞洲冠軍，他們是香港最令人期待與優雅的教師及舞者之一。他們今年受邀在布宜諾斯艾利斯的多個著名舞會表演，並於亞洲多個國際探戈節演出及授課。 2005年，他們創辦了《Otrotango》，將探戈帶到年青的一輩。 2012年開辦了Otrotango Dance Studio, 為不同程度的舞者提供不同的課程，並於每個星期五晚上舉辦《Otra Noche milonga》舞會，還有每週舉辦《Practica Otro》練習舞會。

Gennysam Alcantara & Lily Tan Singapore 新加坡

Gen & Lily, founders of Tango Eclipse, have more than 18 years of dance experience between them. Two of Singapore’s leading dancers, they reached the finals of the World Salon Tango Championships in Buenos Aires this year. They have performed at festivals and milongas in Argentina and across Asia. Gen started training in ballroom and Latin in 1998 in Manila, his hometown in the Philippines. He came to Singapore in 2005, and has worked there ever since as a teacher, performer and choreographer. Lily’s dance education began in 2001. The two have danced together since meeting in 2005 at a ballroom dance event. Gen & Lily perform at Sunday’s Farewell Milonga.

Gen 及 Lily 共有超過18年的探戈舞蹈經驗，是 Tango Eclipse 的創辦人，於2005年一個舞會當中首次成為舞伴。作為新加坡傑出的舞者，二人在今年於阿根廷布宜諾斯艾利斯舉行的世界沙龍探戈賽中躋身決賽。他們曾經到阿根廷及亞洲多個舞會及探戈節進行表演。Gen 在1998年於他的家鄉菲律賓馬尼拉學習拉丁舞，然後於2005年到新加坡當舞蹈教師、舞者及編舞。Lily則在2001年開始學習探戈。他們將在星期天晚上的告別舞會中演出。

Felipe Hsieh & Sandra Mok Taiwan/Hong Kong 台灣/香港

Felipe and Sandra are Hong Kong’s only full-time Argentine Tango couple. Young and passionate teachers and dancers, they have been partners since 2008 despite living and working in different cities at that time, as Felipe was originally from Taipei. In 2010, they finally decided to base in Hong Kong together and set up its first pure Argentine Tango studio, Malevos Tango School. In the past few years they have been invited to perform in Taipei, Seoul, Shanghai, Beijing and Sydney. Sandra & Felipe perform at Friday night’s welcome milonga.

Felipe 及 Sandra 是香港唯一一對全職阿根廷探戈的舞者，是年青而又充滿熱誠的舞蹈教師及舞者。2008年，二人成為舞伴，但由於 Felipe 來自台北，他們當時生活和工作都在不同的城市。直至2010年，二人最終決定一起紮根香港，並成立他們第一間只教授阿根廷探戈的舞蹈室—Malevos Tango School。過去數年，他們獲邀到台北、首爾、上海、北京及悉尼演出，而他們亦樂於與全球的探戈愛好者分享他們的心得。二人將於星期五晚的歡迎舞會中演出。如欲了解更多關於二人的資料，可以瀏覽 www.malevos-tango.com。

Hung-Yut “Leonel” & Hwayi “Florencia” Seoul 首爾

Hung-Yut “Leonel” & Hwayi “Florencia” are a couple of professional tango dancers and organizers from Seoul. They have been invited to perform or teach in half a dozen cities in Korea, as well as for festivals and workshops in Beijing, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore, Sydney, Taipei, and USA. They run their own tango studio, El Bulín, and they organize the annual Seoul Tango Festival, the biggest event of its kind in Korea. Previous to their partnership, Hwayi joined the 2004 World Tango Championship in Bue-nos Aires and won second prize in the stage section. Leonel 及 Florencia 是一對來自韓國首爾的專業探戈舞者及統籌。他們曾獲邀在全國多個城市演出或教學，並到北京、香港、上海、新加坡、悉尼、台北及美國等地出席探戈節及工作坊。二人不但有自己的探戈舞蹈室，更每年舉辦南韓同類型節目中最大型的首爾探戈節。在合作前，Florencia 於2004年參加了在布宜諾斯艾利斯舉行的世界探戈賽並在舞台表演組獲得亞軍。Leonel 則來自香港，能說得一口流利粵語。這對舞者將會在星期五晚的歡迎舞會中演出。如欲了解更多關於二人的資料，可以瀏覽 www.elbulin.co.kr。

Vivian Yeh & Jonatan Agüero Shanghai/Argentina 上海／阿根廷

Jonatan Aguero, from Argentina, first fell in love with Tango aged seven. He learned to dance from such renowned masters as Pupi Castelo, Osvaldo Zotto, Jorge Dispari, Jorge Firpo, Fabian Peralta, Javier Rodriguez, Gabriel Misse, and others. In March 2012, he joined TangoBang in Shanghai. Vivian Yeh, Founder of TangoBang, has taught and organised Argentine tango workshops and performances since 2008. Since she first danced aged five, Vivian has explored ballet and a host of popular dance formats. Also an accomplished musician, Vivian has toured in Europe, the US and Asia as principal timpanist with the Taipei Philharmonic Orchestra and Taiwan Wind Ensemble.

Jonatan 來自阿根廷，七歲開始愛上探戈，並跟隨多位著名阿根廷探戈大師學習。2012年3月，他應邀加入上海「探戈幫」協助中國探戈的發展。Vivian 是「探戈幫」的創辦人，自2008年起教授並舉辦阿根廷探戈的課堂、工作坊及表演。她五歲開始學習多種舞蹈，包括芭蕾舞、弗拉明戈及肚皮舞等。另外，作為一名音樂人，她曾經以台北愛樂管弦樂團及臺灣管樂團首席鼓手的身份到歐洲、美國及亞洲作巡迴演出。

Miyazaki Saeko & Juan Carlos Katsuren Japan/Argentina 日本／阿根廷

Sae & Juan Carlos, 2007 Asian Salon Tango Champions and World Salon Tango finalists in 2007 and 2010, are professional dancers and the organizers of Tokyo’s Labios de Tango milonga. Juan Carlos, from Buenos Aires, came to Tokyo in 1999. Sae is an actress, with appear-ances in dramas, films and commercials. In 2011, they founded the Traditional Argentine Tango Dance School in Tokyo. Their festival appearances include the First Tokyo International Tango Festival in 2011, First Korea-Japan Tango Encounter in 2012, and 2012 Beijing International Tango Festival. They perform at Friday’s Welcome Milonga.

Sae 與 Juan Carlos 是專業的舞者，也是東京「Labios de Tango」舞會的主辦人，並於2007年第四屆亞洲沙龍探戈賽及2007年與2010年世界沙龍賽中躋身決賽。Juan Carlos 來自阿根廷布宜諾斯艾利斯，1999年移居東京。Sae則是日本一名藝人，曾參與電視、電影及廣告演出。2011年，二人在東京成立了傳統阿根廷探戈舞蹈學校。他們曾參與的演出包括2011年首屆東京國際探戈節、2012年首屆日韓探戈體驗及2012年北京國際探戈節。二人會在星期五晚的歡迎舞會中演出。

Kamong & Edith Hong Kong 香港

Kamong & Edith are two of Hong Kong’s most popular and innovative dancers. They first encountered tango in 1999, they have studied with some of the world’s leading dancers. Their backgrounds in ballet and modern dance underpin their classic style while inspiring them to extend the possibilities of their own dance in new directions. Regular teachers, they also host two milongas, Milonga Nuevo on Thursday nights and Corazón Tango on Saturdays. Kamong & Edith perform at Friday’s Welcome Milonga.

李家望和何毅程是香港最受歡迎，最具創新思想的年輕舞者之一，他們表演經驗豐富，包括現場演繹及為電視節目表演。他們自1999年起接觸探戈，過去十年間曾在布宜諾斯艾利斯、香港和世界各地跟隨知名大師學習。他們利用芭蕾舞及現代舞的經驗和知識逐步建立別具一格的舞風，為探戈開闢新的風格和技術上的新方向。他們是 Culture Club 的探戈教師與週四《Milonga Nuevo》和週六《Corazón Tango》舞會的主辦者。

Angel Wong Hong Kong 香港

Angel Wong kicks off the Hong Kong TangoFest 2012 as DJ for the Festival Opening Milonga at Helena May. She plays music mainly from the golden age with a focus on creating the right mood and energy so that each milonga becomes a celebration of the dance. Her DJing always attracts a crowd especially among those who appreciate and love traditional music. Angel has DJed at TangoTang Grand Milongas and is a regular DJ at the club’s Tango Tuesdays. Other local and regional organiz-ers have recognized her unique ability to fill the dance floor, notably at Nostalgia for Carlitos y Rosita milonga at the 2012 Seoul Tango Biennale co-organized by El Paso, El Beso and Royal Tango in Seoul, Korea.

黃安琪為於梅夫人婦女會舉行的探戈節開幕舞會擔任DJ，為2012香港探戈節揭開序幕。她以播放黃金時期的音樂為主，並專注為舞會營造合適的氣氛和能量，務求使每一個舞會成為慶祝舞蹈的舞會。她選播的音樂總能扣人心弦，尤其是那些欣賞和喜愛傳統音樂的舞者。安琪多次為探戈堂所舉辦的盛大舞會播放音樂，亦經常為探戈堂週二舞會作義務DJ。她這方面的能力獲其他本地和鄰近區域機構所認同；今年10月，她更獲邀在韓國首爾為由El Paso, El Beso 及Royal Tango 合辦的 2012 Seoul Tango Biennale 的 Nostalgia for Carlitos y Rosita舞會選播音樂。

Olive Li & Hons Wong Hong Kong 香港

Olive & Hons are two of the latest generation of Hong Kong Tango dancers and DJs. They have built a reputation in Hong Kong as a DJ-couple with exquisite musical taste. Hosts of Sunday afternoon’s popular High Tea Milonga, they have been invited to DJ at the Taipei Tango Festival in 2010 and 2011, the Hong Kong Tango Festival in 2010, and the Shanghai Tango Festival in 2011. The couple is enthu-siastic about integrating vintage and modern sound technologies to bring out the original taste of golden-age tango recordings. Olive & Hons are the DJs at Friday’s Noche de la Nostalgia, where they will playing records from their extensive collection.

Cristal Law Hong Kong 香港

Cristal took her first tango class in 2007 and is part of the latest gener-ation of active dancers in Hong Kong. She started DJing in 2010 , and now, she has been regularly DJs at Milonga M, Milonga Otra Noche, Corazon Tango. From her dancing experience, she understands the importance of music in a milonga and what dancers want. Using her music to pull people to the dance floor while feeling the crowd’s energy and intensity in the mood of Tango brings her the greatest fulfillment.

Cristal 於2007年開始學習探戈，屬本地新一代的探戈舞者。2010年開始為探戈堂擔任DJ。目前為 Milonga M, Milonga Otra Noche 以及 Corazon Tango 擔任客席 DJ。作為 DJ 及舞者，她明白到舞者對舞會中音樂的要求及其重要性， 藉著不同的音樂組合吸引舞者走入舞池，感受到舞者由探戈音樂引發的熱情及能量為她帶來最大的滿足感。

Jessica Ng Hong Kong 香港

Since discovering tango in 2005, Jessica’s love and intensity for the dance have shaped her into the intuitive milongeura she is today. Obsessed with tango’s traditions, music, lyrics and all aspects of its culture, she was one of co-founders of “Las Chinitas”, organisers of monthly milongas and hosts of Javier Rodriguez & Andrea Misse on thier visit to Hong Kong in 2010. Her passion for music prompted her to start DJing at local milongas – to much acclaim. Most recently she started organizing and DJing the milonga “Para Vos”. Jessica is the DJ at the festival’s Farewell Milonga at Top Deck.

自從 Jessica 在2005年開始接觸阿根廷探戈後，她對探戈的熱愛程度大得令她成為今天的探戈舞者。由於她對阿根廷探戈的傳統、音樂、歌詞，以至探戈各方面的文化的迷戀，她成為「Las Chinitas」其中一位創辦人，並於每月舉辦阿根廷探戈舞會及在2010年邀請到Javier Rodriguez 與Andrea Misse 來港交流。另外，她對於阿根廷探戈的音樂的熱誠更令她在本地探戈舞會踏上DJ之路並得到稱讚。最近，她開始統籌並成為舞會「Para Vos」的DJ，而她將會成為本屆探戈節在「珍之寶」舉行的告別舞會的 DJ。

Hong Kong’s tango story dates to the mid-1990s, and a series of brief workshops taught by Pablo Inza & Gladys Fernandez. Among those taking the classes were Sunshine Chan and Keith McNab, who in late 1996 started teaching themselves, as they have continued to do so ever since.

Simultaneously, a separate group of tango enthusiasts launched their own gatherings, practising in a Happy Valley flat, laying the foundation for Frederic Lichtenstein, Beatrice Remy and Jennifer Wan to formally establish TangoTang in 1999.

From then, workshops increased both in scale and duration. Among the dancers who came to Hong Kong were Gustavo Naveira & Giselle Anne, Fabian Salas & Carolina Del Rivera, Julio Bal-maceda & Corina de la Rosa, Pablo Villarraza & Dana Frígoli and Javier Rodriguez & Andrea Misse.Through the 2000s, more and more local organisers started offering classes or running milongas, making it possible to dance tango almost every night of the week.

Visiting dancers continue to arrive to perform and teach – from Argentina and elsewhere around the world. Now, after three festivals, tango in Hong Kong looks ready for another decade of expansion. 香港的探戈發展可追溯至90年代中期，由阿根廷探戈大師 Pablo Inza 與 Gladys Fernandez 任教的一個短期工作坊上。其中參與這個課程的 Sunshine Chan 和 Keith McNab，自1996年開始教授探戈，一直堅持到現在。

與此同時，另一群探戈愛好者在跑馬地開始了自己的聚會，奠定了一個探戈組織的基礎，終於由來自法國的 Frederic Lichtenstein、Beatrice Remy 和香港的 Jennifer Wan 於1999年正式成立探戈堂。

自此之後，探戈堂舉辦的工作坊規模和影響力不斷擴大。期間訪港的探戈大師無數，包括享譽國際的 Gustavo Naveira 與 Giselle Anne，Fabian Salas 與 Carolina Del Rivera，Julio Balmaceda 與 Corina de la Rosa，Pablo Villarraza 與 Dana Frígoli，Javier Rodriguez 與 Andrea Misse 等。

TangoTang, The Hong Kong Tango Club 探戈堂

Founded in 1999, TangoTang, run by volunteers, is the largest non-profit seeking organisation dedicated to promoting Argentine tango in Hong Kong. The club organises regular activities including weekly practicas (dance practices), monthly milonguitas (dance parties), workshops and milongas with overseas teachers, and other cultural activities such as film showings, talks and music workshops. Its website serves as a platform where all major tango events happening in Hong Kong are posted..

The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts 香港演藝學院

The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, established by Government Ordinance in 1984, is a leading tertiary institution in performing arts in Asia.
