Drainage Systems are used in Tunnelingand in Civil Engineering for draining thesurrounding foundation soil.
The aim of drainage is the stabilizationof the particular ground section.In accordance with project requirementDSI offers two different systems fordrainage works. Applications range from
jointed rock to soft foundation soil.

System Description
Main Advantages
AT - TUBESPILE™ Vacuum Lances are
installed rotary-percussive in one step
using a conventional drill boom.
Drill rods inside the casing tubes transfer
the drilling energy onto the drill bits,
which are available either as button drill
bits with carbide inserts or hardenedarc-shaped drill bits.
The AT - TUBESPILE™ with drainage
openings is pushed through an adapter
directly behind the drill bit. Cooling,
flushing and back-flushing of the
borehole cuttings are carried out using
water inside the casing tube. To finish the
installation, a PVC filter pipe is inserted
into the casing. In case of vacuum
drainage, a drainage hose can be
fastened to the vacuum lance following
the installation.

The AT - TUBESPILE™ Vacuum Lance
forms part of the POWER SET product
family. The system consists of an
exterior steel tube with a PVC-drainage
tube inserted after drilling. The main field
of application is the temporary or semi-
temporary drainage of ground aroundthe excavation geometry in Tunneling
and special foundation engineering.

2. Rotary-percussive self-drilling
installation via single-use drill bit;
flushing of the cuttings through the
annular gap between the drill rod and
the TUBESPILE™
3. Completion of the drilling process
after reaching the drilling depth
4. Retraction of the POWER SET Drill Rod
from the installed AT - TUBESPILETM Vacuum Lance; the single-use drill bit

The AT - Drainage System is installedpiecewise by rotary-percussive drillingwith conventional drill booms. Cooling,flushing, and back-flushing of theborehole cuttings take place inside thedrainage tube.
Introduction
The AT - Drainage System is used fordeep reaching drainage and forms partof the AT - Casing System productfamily. It is used in Tunneling andin Civil Engineering for draining thesurrounding ground and consists of an
inner steel tube which is wrapped witha PVC-drainage pipe. The AT - DrainageSystem can be applied temporarily aswell as semi-permanently. Examples ofapplication are drainage works parallelto tunnel advances or water saturatedslopes.
