Our students are learning how to manage their behaviour, practicing and responding to the expectations and enthusiastically embracing our new incentive system. You may have heard about all of the wonderful ways that teachers are rewarding their students. It is great to see! Well done to Mrs Bradstreet, Mrs Brown ,Mr Cumming, Mrs Clough, Mrs Kroczek, Mrs Warr and Mrs Reza Zadeh. I am pleased to see that our parents have continued to respond positively to our school. Here are some of the areas which demonstrated parent satisfaction in relation to our school. The following percentages include a combination of agree or strongly agree to the various statements. Out and about at Dryandra Primary

ROOM 18 Room 18 have been studying electricity this term for Science. We viewed the work of an African inventor William Kamkwamba who, at the age of 14, designed a windmill to harness the wind and produce electricity for his village. The students were fascinated and we did extra research and linked to diary writing. As part of their research, they discovered his birthday was on 5th Aug -so I surprised them with a birthday cake ‘Happy Birthday William.’ Calvin and Mr Ward set to work to send the photos and email to Mr K who is now 33 , lives in San Francisco and does TED talks, author etc. Students were delighted to get his return email. (Reply from William) Hi Calvin and Room 18, Thank you for your kind message and birthday wishes. The cake looks amazing, I hope you all enjoyed it. I wish you the very best with your studies moving forward. It seems like you have a very great and caring teacher, please thank them for me. William
