This Specification has been developed in accordance with the requirements of EN 622-5 prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 112 in June 1997.

The 1st Edition of this TU 5536-001-67790632-13 Spec includes modifications and amendments relating to board quality indices and applications with due account for the European Standard requirements.

Introduction of the 1st Edition of this TU 5536-001-67790632-13 Spec supersedes and voids the 2nd Edition of TU 5536-001-55438410-05 Spec and all modifications and supplements thereto.

GeneralThis Specification applies to fibreboard manufactured by dry-process batch pressing method, thus forming a homogenous structure for MDF and LDF. Fibreboard is intended for further processing and usage in furniture, construction products and other moisture-proof products. The board is designed for non load-bearing conditions and shall be used in dry rooms at average temperature of 20°C and air humidity of up to 65%. Acceptable methods of processing and allowable applications are stipulated by density class and board grade.

The application of board for specific products shall be specified by agreement with the sanitary and epidemiological supervision authorities.

This Specification shall not apply to faced or painted board.

The board code designation shall consist of board grade, quality level, emission class, dimensions in mm, and the designation of this Specification, i.e. TU 5536-001-67790632-13.

Example of board code designation for ordering:

DVP NP -A.2.E1,2440x1820 x8,0; TU5536-001-67790632-13 DVPSP-A.1.E1, 2440 x 1830 x 16,0; TU 5536-001-67790632-13 DVP VP-A.2.E1, 2440 x 1830 x8,0; TU5536-001-67790632-13

where:

DVP NP = LDF, light density fibreboard DVP SP = MDF, medium density fibreboard DVP VP = HDF, high density fibreboard A = grade A1,2, 3 = quality level 1, 2 or 3, specifies the surface quality after sanding
