Overview Nimbus Product DRONE DEPLOYABLE SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM The Drone Deployable Surveillance System (DDSS) is the Nimbus innovative product used to solve tactical monitoring tasks and transmission problems with high performances. The DDSS performances are: ü Endless day and night ISR operations ü Accurate Targeting and high quality observation of a specific area ü Highly mobile, rapidly deployable and transportable system ü Easily interfaced with C 4 I systems ü Unmanned remote control The DDSS is composed by: ü Drone (unit that brings the payload at a specific altitude) ü On-board Payload (customizable) ü T-module: o Power Generator Unit (no external power supply needed) o Drone Power and Date Transmission Cables (Optical Fiber) o Compartment to host the drone and the sensors o Payload and drone GCS o Optional radio system for DDSS remote control Main features: ü Integral and deployable from Very Light Vehicle (i.e. pick-up truck) ü Minimal support crew required for deployment and operations: only one operator or even unmanned remote control ü Real time downlink video ü The DDSS is a multiple fault tolerant system: (lift system or power system or Emergency Recovery System) ü The DDSS can be easily removed, transported and installed from a vehicle to another The drone can be disconnected from the T-module cables and employed with on board battery for extended untethered flight Technical characteristics: ü Aerial signature < 0.3 m 2 ü Mission Endurance 24/7 ü Flight height 50 m (100 m optional) ü Maximun Ground Level: 3000 m ü Deployment Time: less than 5 min ü Retrieval time: less than 5 min ü Capability to flight in wind speed up ti 30 knots ü Gyro-stabilized payload ü GPS/INS navigation
