Drawing on her experience as a Tibetan Buddhist nun, turned mother, who became a best-selling author and world-renowned Buddhist teacher, Lama Tsultrim Allione offers a guide to access a previously forbidden aspect of the feminine: the fierce wise Dakini, whose juicy potency is needed to meet the gale force winds of the current world situation. This is a dynamic spiritual model based on 1000-year-old tradition coming from Tibet. Through the Dakini Mandala, a universal template of wholeness, each of the five Dakinis transforms an emotional pattern into wisdom, giving us a practical method that enables us to find strength and wholeness within, empowering us to become effective agents of transformation and wisdom in our world. The book will also contain 16 color plates and 50 gray scale images.
This book offers the personal work that will help women (and anyone else interested) respond with greater wisdom and effectiveness to the distress, challenges, and chaos of our global reality. It is a guide to being better able to engage the world with our full potent strength that is free of aggression, to tap into genuine unconditioned feminine power that is grounded in wholeness, and to invite a fresh partnership with the authentic masculine. The journey into the mandala gives birth to a renewed expression of feminine that draws on ancient wisdom, but is tailored for this time and place.
We will see that the female body, manifesting as the dakini, is a potential vehicle for enlighten-ment. The Mandala of the Five Dakinis is a doorway with deep, profound roots that are timeless and inclusive. It is a practice that can help you meet the challenges of everyday lifewhen you feel scattered and pulled in many directions at once, when you need centering, when you have a decision to make, when you feel hopeless or stuckby entering the mandala and meeting the dakinis within, you will access deep clarity and power.

Lama Tsultrim Allione has had a great devotion toward the teachings of Chd for a long time. She has been doing a lot of work to preserve and maintain the continuity of the teachings and practice of Chd, and she has a very pure heart motivation in doing this, which I deeply rejoice in.
His Holiness the 17th Karmapa, Orgyen Trinley Dorje
ABOUT LAMA TSULTRIM ALLIONELama Tsultrim Allione, author and international teacher, co-founded Tara Mandala with her late husband, David Petit, in 1993. While living in the Himalayas in the 1970s, she was inspired by the vision of creating a retreat center in the West. She was ordained as a Tibetan nun in 1970 at the age of 22 by His Holiness the 16th Karmapa. At the age of 26, after four years as a nun, she returned her monastic vows, then married and raised a family of three children. While raising her children she earned a Masters degree in Buddhist Studies and Womens Studies from Antioch University. Author of Women of Wisdom, a groundbreaking book on the lives of great Tibetan women practitioners, Lama Tsultrim also authored the National Best Seller, Feeding Your Demons: Ancient Wisdom for Resolving Inner Conflict, now translated into 17 languages. Feeding Your Demons presents Lama Tsultrims pioneering technique based on Chd, using five steps to nurture the parts of ourselves we usually fight against. Numerous audio programs, DVDs, and magazine articles have been produced about her life and work, including Feeding Your Demons: The Life and Work of Lama Tsultrim Allione, a one-hour documentary by Jaap Verhoeven produced by Dutch TV.
For many years, she has focused on the teachings from the lineage of Machig Labdrn, the 11th century Tibetan yogini who founded the Chd lineage. In 2007 while traveling in Tibet, Lama Tsultrim was recognized as an emanation of Machig Labdrn by the resident lama at Machig Labdrns monastery in Tibet, Zangri Khamar. In 2012 she was given the Machig empowerment by H.H. the 17th Karmapa at Chang Chub Jong in India.
In 2009, Lama Tsultrim Allione was selected by an esteemed committee of scholars and practitioners to receive the international Outstanding Woman in Buddhism Award given in Bangkok, Thailand. Her teaching inspiration comes from her sublime Tibetan lamas and her experience as a Western woman and a mother. She is now enjoying being the grandmother of six and has completed her new book, Wisdom Rising: Journey into the Mandala of the Empowered Feminine, to be published by Simon & Schuster in May 2018. At the same time, Lama Tsultrim continues to guide Tara Mandala and thousands of students around the world.
