It is my immense pleasure and great honour to write few words as the Dean of Dr. B.R.Ambedkar

Educational Institutions, Hyderabad one of the premier Educational Institutions in India. This institution

was established in 1973 by Late Sri G.Venkataswamy (popularly known as KAKA) a great visionary of social

justice who intended to bring social transformation by providing education to all people particularly to

marginalized sections of the society. Dr.B.R.Ambedkar Educational Institutions Trust has a High school,

Junior College, Degree College with UG and PG courses, Law college with LLB 3 Years Course, B.A, L.L.B

5 years Course and L.L.M with the specialization of Labour and Employment Law and MBA College with

Specializations H.R, Finance and Marketing in its premises at Baghlingampally, one of the best institutions

under the purview of Osmania University, Hyderabad. I am sure that the group of institutions under

Dr.B.R.Ambedkar Educational Trust is ideally striving for excellence in the field of imparting quality

education. More than a lakh students have become the beneficiaries of this group of institutions in the

tireless journey. We are delighted to have a strong group of faculty, infrastructure, library facilities, NCC

and NSS on our campus. Excellent facilities are provided for sports and extra curricular activities for our

students. Keeping in the view the rapidly evolving world around quality programs have been introduced

in our institutions that would enhance the subject knowledge with inter- disciplinary approach, industry –

specific expertise and encourage students personal transformation. The institution has a good industry tie

up to provide Placements to our students. The Institution is committed to enabling and facilitating exiting

and stimulating learning environment on the campus to meet the needs of the present day.

Mrs. Archana joined us a Part time Lecturer in Sanskrit Department at Dr.B.R.Ambedkar Junior College on 01 February 2021. She has done her post graduation in M.A

(Sanskrit) from University College of Arts & Social

Sciences, Osmania University. She has Over

2 Years of Experience in Teaching Sanskrit

Subject. Prior to this, She was associated with

Sindhu Degree College for Women, Mehdipatnam as

Lecturer in Sanskrit.

Ms. Chandrika Karnakota joined us as ‘Lab Assistant in Chemistry’

in Dr.B.R.Ambedkar Degree College, on 08.02.2021. She has done her Post Graduation in Msc

( Organic Chemistry ) From Osmania University

in Dr. B.R.Ambedkar Junior College on 10.02.2021. He has done his B.Com (Computers)

From Bhavitha Degree College, Vanasthalipuram and MBA

from Dr. B.R.Ambedkar Institute of Management

Ms. C. Divya Joined as Teacher in Departmnt of English & Social Studies

at Dr.B.R.Ambedkar High School on 23.02.2021.

She has done her B.Com (Computers) From

Nava Chaitanya Degree College. She has over 5 years of experience in Teaching. Prior to this,

she was associated with Vijay Bharati Model High

School as Teacher in Social Department.



Institutional Activities

On Feb 1st 2021, Orientation Program was conducted for Junior college Commerce Students from 11:00 AM to 12.15 PM. 144 Students and 65 Parents attended the Program. The principal explained about the various courses offered in the college and the Facilities provided by the college etc.

On Feb 3rd 2021, Orientation Program was conducted for Junior College Math’s and Science Students from 1.30PM to 2.30PM. 86 Students and 56 Parents attended the Program. All the faculty members introduced themselves and explained about their subjects discipline to the students. Dr.Y.Vishnu Priya, Dean narrated the facilities provided by the college management from time to time and explained about the responsibilities of parents.



On 1st February 2021, 16th February 2021, 18th February 2021 and 27th February 2021 Staff Meetings were conducted by Law College.

On 07th February 2021, Covid Awareness Session was conducted by Visaka Team (VISAKA INDUSTRIES LTD.) for Degree College. Mr.Venkata pathi raju and Nagaraju Shekhar Rao ad-vised the college staff about Precaution & Safety measurements need to be highly moni-tored in the college campus

From 8th February to 12th February 2021, Dr.B.R.Ambedkar Degree College has Conducted NCC Cadre Camp. In the camp, Students were trained for our ‘B’ and ‘C’ Certificate examination (Practical and theory). Our college stood as a platform for nearly 400 cadets from various Institutions. Training is provided in Rifle Kolna and Jodna, Firing Positions, Map Reading, Field Craft and Battle Craft.



On 9th February 2021, as per Commissioner Mr. Mohd Jaleel Instructions Smt. Jayaprada bai, D.I.E.O, Hyderabad has inspected Junior college to inspect the infrastructure of our college including the canteen & gym. During her inspection, she was impressed to see our NCC cadets practicing.

On 8th February 2021, Orientation program was conducted to MBA College 20-22 batch in the MBA Seminar Hall. Dignitaries Dr. G. Vivek Venkata Swamy (Chairman), Shri. G. Vinod (Secretary), Smt. G. Saroja Vivek (Correspondent), Prof. Vishnu Priya (Dean) and Dr. Gowri Kusuma (Principal) of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Institute of Management and Technology inaugurated the Orientation program by lighting of the lamp. 80 students attended the Orientation program. Ms. Nandini, 1s year student

anchored the session and was an effective interaction program.



On 9th February 2021, MBA College Students organized tree plantation program to make our campus green zone.

On 13th February 2021, the Online Zoom orientation session was conducted by Law College. More than 125 participants following the protocols of the prevalent corona situation attended the Program. Dr.G.Vivekanand Venkatswamy sir, G. Vinod Kumar Sir and Dr.Vijaya Laksmi addressed the session.

Prof.Dr.G.B.Reddy sir Professor of Law ,Osmania University gave a wonderful enlightening speech to the newly joined students, highlighting about the importance of legal education and also praised our law college for doing great service in rendering legal education and imparting legal skills to the students and for maintaining good standards.

On 11th February 2021, Dean Mrs. Vishnu Priya Conducted the Meeting with Junior College Principal. The Following Points are discussed:1. Monthly newsletter to be submitted by the 26th of every month.2. A new counsellor Mrs.Hyma Jain will be addressing students once a week.



On 13th February 2021, Parent-Teacher Meeting was conducted for B. A II & III year Students. (Online & Offline). PTM witnessed around 55% attendance thus displaying enthusiastic inter-est among parents for the smooth working and progress of the college

On 20 February 2021, High School Organized Interaction Session with B.Ed Trainee Teachers regarding classroom activities, maintenance of Discipline, Identification of Slow Learners and Remedial Classes.

On 22nd February 2021, Dean Mrs. Vishupriya garu conducted meeting with Principals and the Following Points are discussed:

1. Time table to be allotted for Mrs. Sujatha Metpally for staff counselling session.2. Monthly test evaluation report to be submitted by the 5th of every month.3. Discussed women’s day celebration to be held on 8th march 2021.4. Activity Report to be prepared by Principals for governing council meeting. 5. Charity room to be allotted to collect old clothes, money etc.,



On 26th February 2021, Orientation for NBA Accreditation session was conducted by MBA College. Prof A. D. Sharma director R&D in Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT) and former director NERTU, Osmania University and Dr. P. Naveen kumar Associate Professor and Coordinating Officer (ISRO OU) gave inputs for improving the quality of education and NBA Accreditation procedure.

On 26th February 2021, SCIENCE DAY was conducted at Seminar Hall.Principal: Dr Shekar Matta, Chief Guest: Prof. D Ravinder, Guest of Honor: Dr. V Natharial, Speaker: Mr. Bairi Naresh, Convener: Mr. N Hari Kumar Spoke about the how science is essen-tial for people and how people are working for science.



On 27th February 2021, Junior College Conducted the Parent teacher meeting from 9.00AM to - 5.00PM. Parents were informed by sending SMS and making calls 46 parents attended the meeting. Individual parents came to meet the principal along with their child. All the parents were introduced to the subject lecturers. The subject teachers discussed about the performance of the student. They requested the parents to send the children regularly to college.

On 27th February 2021, Parents and Teachers meeting was Conducted by High School. Par-ents shared their Feelings about their children and about the Institution. Staff assured to take care of their Wards.

On 27th Febuary 2021 , Department of Commerce Conducted parents and Teachers Meet for B.Com Computers and General Second Year and Final Year Students. 20 Parents have attended the Parents and Teachers Meeting and the Principal Dr. Sekhar explained the importance of attendance and Motivated the Parents to send the Students regularly to the college.



On 6th Feb, 13th Feb and 23rd February, the staff Meeting was conducted by MBA College and discussed on the various points. 1. Value addition classes to MBA students (CII and Visaka)2. Session with Prof Naveen for NBA Accreditation.3. Organizing graduation day.4. Conducting I internal examination for I semester students.5. Commencement of IV Semester offline classes.6. Orientation class for Psychometric assessment for 1st yr students.



Students Activities

On 02nd February 2021, High School Principal Felicitated Mr. Ramavath Aravind who stood 2nd place in Sailing Competition held by Yatch club of Hyderabad in association with Hussian sagar club.

On 03 February 2021, Degree Offline classes were started on a Shift basis for the academic year 2020-21:I & III Year – 09.00 am to 01.10 pm (897 Students)II Year – 01.40 pm to 05.10 pm (437 Students)In this ongoing Covid pandemic situation, the government has instructed the colleges to take an undertaking letter from the parents that they have no objection to send their child to the college. The Following Undertaking is provided to the Parents:



On 05th February and 6th February 2021, Internal Examinations & Practicals were conduct-ed for II & IV Semesters Degree Students.II Semester - 436 StudentsIV Semester – 360 Students

On 18th February 2021 Onwards, Free lunch is Provided for all Intermediate students is by Management in college canteen. An average of 1st year 320, 2nd year 180 students is using the privilege.



On 11th February 2021, Dr. Gowri Kusuma from MBA College conducted a Guest lecture on “Budget-2021”. Ms. Shital, Research Scholar from Centre for Economic and Social Sciences (CESS) Begum pet, Hyderabad was the resource person for the session. The session started with a note on the need for the awareness and importance of knowing about the Budget. Dr.P.Gowri Kusuma introduced the resource person to the students. 40 Students and 7 faculty attended the session both online and offline.

On 12th February 2021, Ms. P. Divya from MBA College conducted Club Activity for MBA 1st year students. In the current club Activity session organized the Management game titled “Companies and its tagline”. Students need to make a role play to recognize the company, along with company name they need to say the tagline of the company. Recognizing the company gives 1 point and saying the tagline gets 1 more point, total 2 points for each attempt.



On 15 Feb 2021, Essay Writing Competitions was conducted by Degree College by Languages Department.



On 16 February 2021, Department of Commerce conducted Online Quiz For B.Com (Computer Applications) B.Com (General) E/M & T/M - I Year Students. 60 Students attended the quiz. Team-wise allocated, in each team 7 members were allotted. B.Com (General) English Medium Students – won the competition.

On 18th February 2021, Mrs. Hyma Jain counseled Junior College students. She spoke to the students individually about personal issues examination stress & other Problems. She Informed students that they could feel free to contact her whenever needed.

On 18 February 2021 , The Psy-chology Session was Conducted by Ms. Meenakshi Shiva Kumar for B.Com (Computer Applica-tions) I Year Students from 11.15 am – 12.15 pm.This Session was conducted with the pres-ence of the Dean Prof.Y Vish-nu Priya Principal Mr.Shekar Matta & Mr. A Venu (HOD). 28 students have attended this session and Ms. Meenakshi S h i -va Kumar spoke about anxieties aspects during exams & presentations. Psychol-ogy counseling helped the students in choosing the best alternative/solution for the problem/trouble in their studies and attending the classes regularly. Internet/Social media/mobile platform addiction by students, remedial & curative methods in psychology.

On 22nd February 2021, Department of Commerce conducted Workshop for B.Com Comput-ers and General Third year Students from 11.30 Am to 12.30 PM. Principal, Mr. Venu – HoD and 60 Studnets participated in the workhop and discussed on how to prepare the legal docu-ments for the partnership deed & gift deed.

On 24th February 2021, Mr. Peter Woodman trained 30 of our students From High School, Junior College, and Degree College. He gave them a questionnaire in Vocabulary Building and motivated them about the Importance of communication Skills.



On 27th February 2021, Just a Minute (JAM) Programme has been conducted for BBA I Year students in the classroom. 18 students have been attended this JAM programme. Just a minute session is a great way to develop speaking and communication skills

On 27th Febuary 2021, Mr. Venu gopal MBA 2nd year student participated in Automobile Launch an E-Bike “Atum 1.0” organized by G.Vamshi Krishna founder of Automobile Atum 1.0.



On 26th and 27th February 2021, Moot Court Sessions for LLB 3years and LLB 5years were conducted for training in practical purposes of Advocacy skills.



On 3rd and 4th February 2021, a webinar on women entrepreneurship development titled “Say Yes - Celebrating Self” was conducted by Admin & HR Department. 9 Faculty and 50 students participated in the session. Participants were enlightened with information given on Entrepreneurship Development.Session started with Ms. Shalini madam’s opening remarks. Speakers had lot of discussion on women empowerment, courage and motivation and other factors which lead them to success.

Training & Devlopment

On 8th February 2021, Webinar on gynecology issues and suggestions for women was conducted by Admin & HR Department .Dr. G. Shailaja, MBBC, and DGO, spoke about personal hygiene & gynecology issues faced by women and how to prevent them. 30 Female Faculty across High School, Junior College, Degree College, and MBA College attended the Session.



On 10th and 11th February 2021, a webinar was conducted by Admin & HR Department on women entrepreneurship development titled “Celebrating one another”.Mr. Uday Kotak President, CII Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Kotak Mahindra Bank addressed the Session. Ms. Rajani Seshadri Chairwoman, IWN Southern Region & Founder Director, IndePenn Connections Pvt Ltd, moderated the session along with the speaker.

On 16th February 2021, webinar titled “Sleep Disorder” is conducted. Dr. Lavanya Gali MD, Medical Director of sleep care solutions is the resource person. She stressed on people having a minimum of 8 hrs sleep daily in order to prevent themselves from diseases related to heart and other disorders. 60 Faculty from High School, Junior College, Degree College, and MBA College attended the Session.



On 22nd February 2021, Visaka team conducted the Covid-19 awareness Session. They discussed the importance of wearing masks, maintaining social distancing, sanitizing the building & Surroundings, checking body temperature of personal hygiene. All the Staff from High School, Junior College, Degree, MBA and Law College attended the Sessions.

On 26th February 2021, Degree College Conducted the Webinar on Simon Views on Decision Making. B.A I Year (15) students from Telugu Medium & (20) students from English Medium along with 3 Faculty has attended the Session.Dr. Amarender Reddy explained the significance of Management Decision depending upon cir-cumstances and situation. Mainly focused on rationality in decision making. This topic is in the syllabus of I Year public administration



On 20th Feb 2021, Dr. P. Nagaraja attended one Day Workshop on “Recent Advances and Disruptive Technologies in HRM- Issues & Challenges

Faculty Acheivements

On 20th Feb 2021, Mr. Sheik Abdul Mazeed presented a paper titled “The role of HR managers during crisis time - covid-19 perspective” in International Journal of Management and Humanities (23940913) Web of Science Journal.



On 20th February 2021, Ms. P. Shailaja attended one day workshop on “Recent Advances and Disruptive Technologies in HRM – Issues and Challenges” organized by CBIT.

On 23rd February 2021, Ms. P. Shailaja attended National webinar on “Teaching Pedagogy in Management Education” organized by Anwar Uloom College of Business Management.



On 25th February 2021, Superannuation ceremony for Mr. Shesha Chary, JL in Chemistry is cele-brated in the Seminar Hall. The principal spoke about his contribution to the college. The Dean & other staff appreciated him in the presence of his family & friends.



Placement Activities

On 18th February 2021, Degree College Placement cell conducted meeting for the benefit of passed out students. The college has taken the initiative to mould the students Career through training in Personality Development. The placement cell has reached out to the students and explained about the Training Program.

On 27th February 2021, a virtual orientation program was organized for MBA Department on CII-Yuva Young Indians club. Dr. Gowri Kusuma is the Panelist and Ms. P. Shailaja is the coordi-nator for the session. Resource person Mr.Kalyan Rao empowered the youth for achieving their objectives and enlightened them to become an entrepreneur.



SPORTS & GAMES

On February 20th and 21st 2021, Degree College conducted Venkataswamy Memorial Kabaddi Tournament at Dr.B.R.Ambedkar College grounds. Dr.G.Vivek Venkataswamy Garu, Chairman of Dr.B.R.Ambedkar Educational Institutions, and Smt G Saroja Vivekananda Garu inaugurated the tournament.

Chief Guest : Mr M Mahender Reddy, C.I of Meerpet Police Station, Hyd.Guest of Honor : Prof. K Deepla, Physical Education (HOD), O.U.President of Tournament : Dr.Shekar Matta, Principal, Dr.B.R.Ambedkar College.Secretary of Tournament : Mr.P. Venkatappa, Physical Director.

A total of 28 teams represented from various colleges. From these colleges, 216 players partici-pated (18 teams, in each team 12 players).

Winner Team – GCPE, Domalguda – awarded a cash prize with 20,000/-

Runner Team – Dr.B.R.Ambedkar College – Team (A) – awarded a cash prize with 10,000/-.

III Prize - Dr.B.R.Ambedkar College – Team (B) – awarded a cash prize with 3,000/-.

Best All-Rounder – K Siddhu (B.Com I Year – General E/M) awarded with a cash prize of 1,000/-
