"Where to Wine" in India
India got her first vines from Persia around
500 B.C. although commercial viticulture
flourished only in the 19th century. Since
Indian climate conditions are not ideal for
wine-growing, most of India’s wineries are
in the southwestern region. Check out some
of our favorite wineries in South India.
