Morning Drop-Offs
There are a number of students
that are being dropped off early
in the morning.
Students should not arrive to
school prior to 9:00 am unless
they are attending the Cham-
pions program. We do not
have staff to supervise them as
they are in the lobbies and hall-ways. If you drop your student
(s) off prior to 9:00 am we may
have to direct them to the
Champions area for supervision

Dear Yake Elementary Students and Parents,
In celebration of Reading Month, Yake students will have a reading spirit week from March 6th through
March 10th, 2017. The week’s activities will highlight some of Dr. Seuss’s greatest books.
Please encourage your child to join in the spirit by participating in the spirit activities listed below. The
class with the most spirit at the end of the week will be awarded our huge Gator Banner to hang outside of
their classroom.

WBEF Dinner!
The Woodhaven-Brownstown Education Foundation has scheduled its fundraising Signature Event for Thursday, May 4, 2017 at
Crystal Gardens.
The event will be from 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m., with dinner, an open bar, and silent auction/raffle.
Tickets for the event are $50 a piece and can be purchased from Yake’s main office. All proceeds from the dinner go to our teachers in the form of mini-grants.
