Workshop
• In Kent we know that there will be more people living here over the next 5 years
• We know that there will also be an increase in the number of people with learning disabilities
• We know that will be an increase in the demand for support due to more people and the ageing of the people
Question 1
a) Should we teach more specialist staff members to help support the increase in need?
b) Or should we teach more generally registered staff to support the increased needs?
Question 2
What kind of extra skills and education do you think either (a) or (b) staff would need to support the increase in needs of the learning disability population?
If you have any questions please ask them now
or come and ask me in the break
