Stone Age day at Murton
On a chilly, wet Monday, Class 3 went to
Murton Park to spend the day as Stone Age
people. We could hardly walk because we
had so many layers on!
We went to a Stone Age village and we pre-
tended to kill fake animals. We also made
pottery and we ground flour but it took a
long time to make it. Another activity was
doing cave paintings but we did this on pa-
per not caves. We drew pictures of Stone
Age things and thought about what it was,
what is was used for and what it was made
from.
At the end, the
leader, called
Stone, told us a
story by the fire.
It was a good
day; it was inter-
esting and we
learnt a lot.

Cake sale in aid of Save the Elephants
Three girls in Year 5 called Harriet, Georgie and Grace organised a
cake sale on the 23rd of November to Save the Elephants. When
asked why Harriet, the leader of the group, did it she replied “I did it because I like elephants and I want-
ed to save them. “
When Georgie was asked why she joined Harriet, she commented that she decided to help Harriet be-
cause she was her best friend. Harriet's other best friend Grace said “I did the elephant cake sale because
I love elephants and I would like to save them”
The girls have raised £64 pounds so far.
