Introduction The topicality of the work is an increased interest to the problem of choosing a name.
The hypothesis: Names go in and out of favor as time goes by.
The purpose of the work is to learn the history of
Russian,Tatar and Bashkir names and reveal their
popularity during the last years of the 20th century and
nowadays.
The tasks: to find out the popularity of the names and their stability;
to study popular and rare names in the past and present;
to learn the meanings and origins of the names;
to analyse the survey results.
