Wonderful Happenings at Wenty!
Congratulations
Kindergarten and
the ES1 team of
teachers and
support staff on a
successful first
excursion.
This week was Kindergar-
ten’s first excursion as a
grade and they went to the
farm!
It was a terrific day at
Calmsley Hill City Farm for
the students to consolidate
their learning in class.
Three buses departed with parents and I
waving them off on their way and three buses
returned with lots of happy faces!
Swimming Scheme – Weeks 3 and 4
The last two weeks saw over 120 of our students
in Years 2-6 participate in a very important wa-
ter safety program in the swim scheme initiative. Aus-
tralia has numerous waterways: pools, beaches, river, dams and
creeks and to be water safe is a skill for life.
I would like to thank all the teachers who made this program possible. It is always a huge two weeks in our
school calendar, but ever so vital! I would especially like to thank Mrs McMahon who lead and managed the
program ensuring all the numerous logistics were sorted for our school. Thank you teachers.
Request for old school uniform donations for Sick Bay
From time to time students need a change of clothes when they report to sick bay. We have currently
run out of school shorts and girls’ school tunics.
If any families would be willing to donate any old uniforms that do not fit your children anymore for our
students who need a change of clothing, they would be welcomed.
Please just bring them to the Admin team at the front office.
Thank you kindly.

New Finance Option for parents—Parent Online Payments (POP)
With the new finance system in place, parents have an added feature of being able to pay for excursions
and school payments online via a button on the school website—
http://www.wentwthvil-p.schools.nsw.edu.au/
We know that many families are already benefiting from this option. Please see the POP note at the end of
this newsletter, or you can view and download the note from the WPS website in the ‘Whole School’ notes
