Sunrise Chemicals
Sunrise Chemicals was started with the focus to develop chemicals and chemical delivery systems that would improve horizontal well drill outs and work-overs. In 2015 Sunrise Chemicals developed the Coil Tubing Automated Delivery Systems (ADS). This product line is a fully automated hydration unit which can be operated by one person using a touch screen display/(HMI). The HMI interface allows the operator to adjust all chemical rates on the fly, as well as control volume and viscosity of gel sweeps with a touch of the screen, all valves are air actuated and tanks have fluid level sensors to ensure accurate volume and safety.
Our units have been proven in the Fayetteville Shale and DJ Basin to save the operator significant chemical volumes (upwards of 60% is not uncommon) as well as reduce the time to drill out plugs In current operations chemicals are often dumped via 5 gal buckets directly into the CT tubs and sent downhole. This leaves very little time for mixing and hydration time, as well as giving a very imprecise dosage of the needed chemical for the operation. This is something that has all but been eliminated in fracturing operations, but has seemed to persist in CT operations. Our goal is to both give the proper amount of chemical via liquid add pumps, in-line viscometers, and flowmeters. It also has two on-board mixing tubs to ensure the chemical is fully mixed and hydrated prior to being sent down the coil. These systems combine to give a more precise, economical chemical system at a reduced price for the operator.
Sunrise Chemicals has continued to improve on the existing technology. Our newest hydration unit has all of the above plus a data acquisition system where we are capturing the CT pump rate, pump pressure, pipe light and pipe heavy from the Coil Cat system as well as a pressure transducer on the flow back manifold, and real time data monitoring system that can be viewed anywhere there is internet access. We believe with this expanded data package further optimization of coil tubing drill outs will be made.
Our low overhead and automated system have allowed us to stay extremely competitive with our prices and will gladly share upon request

Fluid System Additives
FR-100 (Friction Reducer)
Rev.03042017
Physical Properties
Flash Point: >200 oF (>93.3 oC)
Specific Gravity: 1.06 Solubility: Water, Brine Chemical Family: Synthetic Polymer Charge: Anionic Appearance: Light Green Liquid Odor: Petroleum Distillates
Description FR-100 is the next generation, REACH registered friction reducer that is an ultra-high molecular weight, salt tolerant polymer engineered to provide premium friction reduction. This anionic, friction reducer can be used in freshwater, KCl waters, and water treated with KCl Substitutes. FR-100 yields rapidly and will reduce friction by as much as 70% or more, depending on the pipe dimensions, pressures and flow rates. This unique hydrogenated polymer is more effective pound for pound than competitive products, providing better or equivalent drag reduction.
FR-100 is available in 5 gallon pails, 55 gallon drums and 330-gallon tote tanks.
Advantages Is more effective pound for pound than competitive products Reduces friction as much as 70% or more Salt tolerant friction reducer Compatible with fresh water, KCl waters, and water treated with KCl substitutes
Mixing/Treatment Prior to use, stir the container to ensure best results. Over time the product may settle out in the container. This is normal and does not affect product quality. Simply mechanically agitate to re-disperse. Do not air-stir as the moisture in the air will hydrate the polymer prematurely and a very viscous or semi-solid mass will result.
FR-100 may be used in higher concentration or other types of brines as well; however, compatibility and performance should be confirmed. May be batch mixed or added directly on the fly. Normal use rate to increase aqueous drilling fluid viscosity is 0.5 to 2.5 gpt (0.21 gal/10bbl - 1.05 gal/10bbl). For friction reduction use rate is 0.25-0.5 gpt (0.105 gal/10bbl – 1.21 gal/10bbl).
Handling/ Storage Store away from heat sparks and open flame. Keep container tightly sealed to prevent evaporation, contamination, and explosion hazards. Use only with adequate ventilation. Promptly remove any spilled material as it is extremely slippery, especially when wet. Rinse spill with copious amounts of water. It can cause eye, skin and respiratory tract irritation by contact. Do not breathe vapors, especially in a confined area. Recommend use of chemical splash goggles and rubber gloves during handling.
Refer to Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for handling and hazard data.

Advantages Reduces torque and drag associated with drilling, logging, workover, completion and coiled tubing
applications Suspended fine Lubra-Glide “CE” Co-Polymer Beads® offer excellent mechanical lubrication Fine grade beads average 247 microns or 65 mesh The premium liquid lubricant component has a high affinity for metal and bonds with thesesurfaces,
reducing the coefficient of friction between the work string and wellbore Non-aromatic components will not harm mud motors, MWD or LWD tools LC50 >750,000 at 2% concentration Bio-degradability index ~60%
Mixing/Treatment Liqui-Beads® can be mixed directly into most fluid systems via injection pump, pill form or gravity feeding, directly over the fluid pump suction. Mix slowly through metered additions while circulating. Mix up to 1% LiquiBeads™ evenly throughout the circulating volume to reduce torque and drag.
Pills, approximately 2% Liqui-Beads® with sufficient volume to cover the BHA or problem area and/or build sections. After spotting a pill, stop circulation, rotate and reciprocate the drill string for 3-5 minutes, allowing the product to saturate the zone before continuing operations.
Liqui-Beads (Co-Polymer Beads)
Rev.03042017
Technical Data Liqui-Beads® tested with an OFI EP Metal-toMetal Lubricity Tester (Model# 11-00). Distilled water was used to run a calibration test, and a torque reading of 32 was recorded. This calibration reading was used to determine a coefficient of friction correction factor, to give an accurate coefficient of friction.
During testing API standards were used and the solution was heated to approximately 120 oF. The tests was run with a 10 ppg NaCL Brine Base. The NaCl and 2% Liqui-Beads® were tested and then the metal components (Object A) were unsubmurged overnight with residual fluid remaining on the components. The next day the metal cup (Object B) was washed out and refilled with NaCL Brine 10 ppg to see if the Liqui-beads® would contribute to lubricity in a fresh fluid sample.
