Viva Competitions
1. Look-Alike
Children are great imitators. Let us give them an opportunity to imitate the
person of their choice. This is a parent-child activity. All you have to do is dress
identical and show the resemblance through costumes, both the parent and
the child must dress identically. What's more? You get a chance to look like
someone famous. So, whether it's Justin Bieber or Miley Cyrus or Robert De
Niro, all you have to do is to get the costumes right.
Number of Participants: Pair: 1 Adult and 1 child
Grade Eligibility: Group I: Play School and Nursery
Group II: Jr. KG and Sr. KG
Fees: INR 200/-
Rules:
1. No entries will be accepted post 11:59 pm on 17th November 2020.
2. As co-participants, only the mother, father, uncle, aunt, grandfather or
grandmother can participate with the child.
3. Judgement will be based on the degree of similarity between the adult
and the child. For e.g.: If the father has dressed up as Charlie Chaplin the
child also needs to dress up in the same attire/costume.
4. Participants have to arrange for their own props and costumes.
5. You can dress up as a celebrity, community helper, etc. as per your
choice.
6. The competition will be conducted online. The participant will have to
upload the photograph/video, the details of which will be intimated in due
course of time once the registrations are open.

2. Dress Me Up
It's recycling at its best! Be creative, be innovative, be snazzy or simply be
unconventional. The idea here is to create the best out of waste. An exciting
topic, where the child will be dressed up by his/her parent with used
and/discarded materials.
Here's a tip: To make a great costume from recycled material, collect the best
and easy to use materials from your surroundings, use the right tools to hold
it up and get inspired by some of the coolest designs.
Number of Participants: Pair – 1 Adult and 1 child
Grade Eligibility: Group I: Play School and Nursery
Group II: Jr. KG and Sr. KG
Duration: 45 minutes to dress up the student

Rules:

2. Participants are requested to arrange for the essential materials.
3. Participants can use ice cream sticks, newspapers, empty cartons, old
plastic bangles, small dried twigs, bottle caps, straws, coconut shells, dry
fruit shells, feathers, old greeting cards, old tooth brushes, etc.
4. All material required for assembling the costume and dressing up, e.g.:
Adhesive, stapler, scissors, paint, palettes, water bowls, etc. must be
arranged by the participants.

6. The judgement will be based on how effectively the waste/recycle material
is used to create something unusual, innovative and beautiful.

3. Props Rock
Props* are a vital part of dance and drama. Select a song and use the props to
enhance the dance movement. This competition gives children a platform to
exhibit their sense of rhythm and showcase their creativity, flexibility and
dance with confidence.
*Prop: A prop is considered to be anything movable or portable on a stage or a
set, distinct from the actors, scenery, costumes, and electrical equipment.

Tap dance, a joyful noise. Select your favourite piece of foot-tapping music and
set the dance floor on fire with your moves. Bring the rhythmic sound in your
feet, tap away to any musical instrument of your choice and jazz up the
atmosphere. A tip to get you started: In addition to perfect move and rhythm,
a good attitude too can get you going. So, whether it’s Jazz Tap, Broadway
variations or Bollywood grooves make sure you have everyone swaying to your
beat.

various decorative materials ensuring that the outcome is creative, beautiful,
neat and unique.

This is a platform where you can showcase your talent. So, get into the groove

us some original dance steps and shine like a star.

Bored of painting on canvas and paper? Designing clothes and jewellery is
passé. Time to showcase some cool footwear. Viva gives you a chance to
reinvent and recreate. Pick up those paintbrushes and splash some colour on
your old pair of shoes.
