withrespecttoliabilityexposureandperformance• Theinter-relationshipofthedatafieldsandthecalculationsintheManual•DaveAndersonisanAssetManagementSpecialistwithover30yearsofexperienceasamunicipalemployee,andapproximately7yearsasaconsultant.Dave’s municipalcareerbegan insurveysand inspectionandadvancedtospendthelast20yearsofhismunicipalcareerattheseniormanagerordepartmentheadlevel.Dave’smunicipalexperienceincludesmunicipalitiesattheupper-tier,lower-tier,andsingle-tierlevels.Hisresponsibilitieshaveincludedallinfrastructuretypesandroadsystemsofupto1,425centreline-kilometers.
Hisrangeofexperienceincludespublicworksengineeringandoperations,engineeringstudiesforalltypesof infrastructure, including Class Environmental Assessments, Master Plans, Road Needs Studies, andcapitalplanningandprogramimplementation.Notably,DavebecamethefirstManagerofEngineeringandInfrastructureforthenewlyformedHaldimandCountyinthefallof2000andwastaskedwithcreatinganengineeringdepartmentforasingle-tiermunicipality,responsibleforcapitalplanningandimplementationforallassets.
Duringhismunicipalcareer,andthenasaconsultant,Davehascompletedacombinedtotalofover70RoadNeeds/StateoftheInfrastructurestudiesordatacollectionexercises,followingtheMTOInventory Manual methodology.
