What is nuclear medicine?
Nuclear medicine is a medical specialty that uses radioactive tracers (radiopharmaceuticals) to assess bodily functions and to diagnose and treat disease. Specially designed cameras allow doctors to track the path of these radioactive tracers. Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography or SPECT and Positron Emission Tomography or PET scans are the two most common imaging modalities in nuclear medicine

Financial Planning:
You can save for your child’s college tax free with 529 college savings plans and Coverdell Education SavingsAccounts (ESA).
The truth is, most studentsdon't pay the published price, or sticker price, for their college. When you take into account the aid—grants and scholarships—astudent gets, you'll often find they pay a lot less. This is calledthe net price.
To keep cost low, students canattend community college, geta part time job or live at home.
Getting Ready Academically:
Take 5 solid academic classeseach semester.
Build skills in areas of time management, collaboration, communication and research.
Take challenging courses suchas honors and AP courses.
Extracurricular Activities:
Colleges are interested in your child’s activities because they provide a clearer picture of who your child is and what their strengths are.
If your child has a part-time jobor does volunteer work, make sure they include it on their application.
Do community service andvolunteer to gain skills andexperience; and to be a better student. Get involved!
