Unit 3 ProjectFor this project, you will find a medical scenario to translate into layman’s terms when defining the
conditions and treatments. In the second part of this project, you will find a minimum of 15 medical terms and split them into word roots, prefixes, and suffixes. Define each term.
Part 1: Translate the medical scenario as you would to a patient.Part 2: Pick out the medical terms within this scenario and use the provided columns (in the project template) to split them into word roots, prefixes & suffixes, singular and plural endings. Additionally, use the last column to define each term.
Submitting Your Project Put your project in a Word 97-2003 document. Save it in a location and with the proper naming convention: username-HS111-section-unit3 project.doc (username is your Kaplan username, section is your course section). When you are ready to submit it, go to the dropbox and complete the steps below:
Click the link that says "Submit an Assignment". In the "Submit to Basket" menu, select Unit 3: Project In the "Comments" field, make sure to add at least the title of your paper. Click the "Add Attachments" button. Follow the steps listed to attach your Word document. To view your graded work, come back to the Dropbox or go to the Gradebook after

In this project you will find a medical report for Ima Goodbar. This operative report covers Ima’s Case Study, Preoperative Dx, Procedure, Microscopic Examination, and Postprocedural Dx. You are asked to read the report and translate this report into Layman’s terms. This should be limited to 1-2 paragraphs but with complete sentences. Then you will choose 15 medical terms found in the medical report and place them into the Medical Term Chart. Please take a look at the chart below for an example.
You will also notice this Project is APA formatted with a title page, Body (Assignment), and Reference Page. You will need to provide the correct APA citations on the Reference Page most likely you will be using your textbook and dictionary. As an example, here is the proper reference citation for your textbook: You cite the dictionary.
