TYPICAL DAY AT CAMPFairmont’s unique program offers English language instruction in conjunction with a cultural immersion component designed specifically for international students. Students benefit from intensive English language instruction each Monday through Thursday morning. In the afternoon, they have the opportunity for hands-on language learning and cultural exchange as they participate in Fairmont’s summer camp together with American students. On Fridays, international students join their new American friends on excursions to a number of world-class destinations in sunny Southern California.
Students will be assessed upon arrival and placed in the appropriate grade/ability group.

Health insurance is included in the tuition for the English Language & American Culture Camp program. Health Insurance packet and coverage details will be given to the student on the first day of their program. 9:00 am-12:00 pm English Language InstructionVisiting international students will focus on language acquisition and fluency through hands-on learning activities designed to help them become more comfortable speaking English. Students will be ability grouped and will study with the group, individually, and with a Fairmont teacher.
12:00 pm-1:00 pm Integrated Lunch and Free PlayCampers may bring lunch from home or take advantage of a hot lunch program for $6 per day. After lunch, campers enjoy a variety of free play opportunities with other Fairmont Summer Camp attendees.
1:00 pm-4:00 pm Integration with Fairmont Summer Camp After the morning English language study, international students will integrate with American students at Fairmont Summer Camp to practice speaking English. In the afternoon, students enjoy educational art, science, cooking and music activities, swimming, and visits to the arcade or game rooms together with their new American friends. On Fridays, international students join their camp friends on excursions to a number of world-class destinations in sunny Southern California.
