Download - Two years with Comenius
Two years with Comenius! It all started in Year 7
Bordeaux
Before the arrival of our European friends, we prepared a video to tell
them about the weather forecast! What fun we had! Just take a look at
the photos!
The visit of our school, by Julia and Valentine
On the first day, we took our friends for a tour of our school.
Everybody said «Hello» to their new friends.
They attended lessons. They saw how the French students worked!
They met our principal and our teachers. Everybody was having fun! And
many boys said they loved the correspondent girls, or wanted to have
their telephone number!
In the afternoon, we had a sport tournament. There were three teams.
All countries mixed. We had much fun! Everybody ran!
And the green team won! I'm sure
they cheated! ; )
The visit of the Pyla Dune, by Julia
It is the highest dune of Europe and
the correspondents were so
surprised when they saw that.
When we arrived at the top of the
dune, what a surprising view!! They
were so amazed and they took many
photos of the Bassin d'Arcachon.
After, we were walking on the top when
some people wanted to do somersaults.
And then, everyone started that, and
that was so funny!!!!! :) So we were full
of sand!
We were laughing all the time! Then, we
went down and admired the view of the
Bassin d'Arcachon. The water was so
cold, so we didn't swim.
During the walk, two cute guys had had a good time throwing seaweed on
a girl' head. So she cried because she was cross; she didn't think it was
amusing! And she told the teacher.
Therefore, Mrs Cousty decided to give a lesson to the “cute boys” and
put seaweed back on their head.
They felt really humiliated, though it was not Mrs Cousty's intention!!!
They thought it was unfair!
The visit of Bordeaux, by Valentine
We weren't ready to do the visit of Bordeaux. We had not finished our
texts and we hadn't printed the exercises for the correspondents. But
we were enthusiastic and happy to be with our new friends!
But that was the worst disaster of the week!!!!
Only a few of us had prepared their text to explain the history of
Bordeaux, so the correspondents only looked at the monuments. We took
them to the Miroir d'Eau, the Notre Dame Church, the Place de la Bourse
and the docks of Bordeaux.
Some people visited a chocolate shop. And they loved that!!! There were
multicolor chocolates. They were amazed!!
The evening, by Julia and Valentine
On Wednesday, there was a little party. Everybody was there! We had a
wonderful dinner cooked by Mr Bebedcarrax.
A few weeks before, we had learned a dance... a traditional Basque dance
with Mr. Bedecarrax. We danced in pairs, a boy and a girl. And we
performed the dance that night!
But first it was the Swedish turn.
They danced “Waka waka” of
Shakira! It was beautiful!
The Dutch sang, danced, there were four groups :
And their final:
We were laughing due to the boys who were wearing pink scarves with
feathers!
And finally it was our turn to dance. We danced the traditional basque
dance, in pairs...
Mr. Bedecarax looked angry because
he was not satisfied with our
performance! XD
After the dance, the teachers offered
presents to the other teachers! Mrs.
Cousty was offered a grey sweatshirt and
Mr. Gioud had a stuffed reindeer:
And then everybody danced with the Swedish... It was really funny!!!
And this is a photo of us singing the
crocodile song.
Our flight to Sweden, by Marcel and Eddie
We left Bordeaux by plane very early, but we were so happy!
After two hours, we arrived at Amsterdam airport where we
bought lots of things in duty free.
Then many of us had fun in the airport; after that we took another
plane to Sweden. The steward gave us «food» which was not
comestible except for the great soda! After one hour, we saw
Denmark and Sweden through the window.
While we were landing, the families of our
correspondents were waiting for us.
Lost in the park, by Agathe and Manon
During our school trip which took place in Sweden, we lived a special
experience … This famous third day of our expedition in this cold
country...
We took the boat in the direction of Skansen that we nicknamed “the
park of the labyrinth”.
Groups were made, and we arrived in the middle of the park.
In the group, they decided to go for a
drink in a café, whereas Manon and I
preferred to continue our visit.
We saw several animals on our route. It was a
moment of pure
happiness.
We were not looking at the time and didn't know where we were heading
to... but we were simply enjoying! After a few minutes, we realized that
we were lost! We were really scared, so we started to run in all
directions, trying to keep cool and to look for a person who could help us.
But fortunately, we saw two teachers; we were relieved and became quiet
again. What a relief!
When we arrived at the entrance, we realized that everybody could have
left without us! It was time to go back !!!! :)^^
A skiing experience in Sweden, by Antoine Caliot and Albert
Flottsbro Friluftsområde
The second day, we took the bus to go to the hill to ski. Some guys learnt
to ski and others knew how to ski very well.
We skied all morning and after we ate hot dogs grilled on a barbecue
near a frozen lake. After eating, we went back skiing again and after this
very busy day some of us had a pizza with our family
The visit of Stockholm, by Edwin, Lucas, and Hugo
We visited the center of Stockholm.
We went to Österlmans Saluhall, a covered market.
That was the
first time we
ate reindeer
and elk. It
tasted very
nice but it
was
different.
We walked in shopping streets.
From Bordeaux airport to Amsterdam airport, by Antoine
Lacoste, Xavier, and Maximilien
We met at the airport to check in.
Behind the security doors, we ate
our breakfast...
And let's get on board!
Later, despite Mrs Cousty's advice,
we took our candies out and started
to eat them up...
And we also started reading
magazines.
After a 30-minute flight, the air
hostess brought us a sandwich
whitch we didn't like (Gingerbread,
mustard, curry and turkey...). Beurk!
After some time waiting, we had a
fun shopping tour: girls went to H&M
and the boys went to Burger-King!
Later we took the bus to Emerlood.
The Netherlands, by Marion Castay, Lucie, and Clara On Wednesday, we went to a
football stadium.
First, we felt like it would be
boring because we don't love
football, and it was very cold.
We were visiting the museum of
the stadium when the guide told us that we would
visit the private lounge. It was the best time of the day; we were sitting
and having a lot of fun. We looked like baby stars!
Then, we went on the pitch and could touch the
grass; the boys were very good substitutes but not
strong enough to play, the girls were the best
coaches in the entire world!☺ At the same time
Mme Cousty found her vocation, a gardener: she admired the grass for
ten minutes. At the end of the morning we had a tour in the stadium
souvenir shop.
It was a very good experience, we had
been stars for three hours in our life !
Ice-skating, by Louisiane, Yassmine, and Marine
Some were good, some were bad at skating! For some, it was the first
time!
It was funny… Many fell down, such as Louisiane, who skated into a
professional skate; Mrs. Cousty had a very tough time trying to remain
up!
This activity allowed us to get even closer to the others!
There was a small ice rink, which was for children, and there was a side
for professionals...
Unfortunately Marine and Yassmine had
lost the key to their locker where all
their belongings were kept. Finally, after
a long 30-minute wait, they found it
next to another locker!
A fantastic day in Alton Tower, by Valentin, Hugues, and
François
On the 3rd day, we went to Alton Tower, a
splendid theme park for everybody. Our
favorite attraction was «Oblivion»,
because we fell twenty meters down in a
very dark tunnel at a very high speed. At
the top of the attraction, Célia was so
scared that she didn't stop screaming .She
was screaming so much that our ears hurt!
We adored
«Nemesis»
and «Air»,
two
attractions
where we
were upside
down . Valentin has vertigo so he didn't try.
And, you're going to laugh: We didn't have a splendid guide because he
lost us many times but finally we arrived in a fabulous garden!!!
The last party, by Beryl, Marion Dulas, and Célia
For the party, we dressed well because our teacher had told us that the
English girls liked to dress really well for parties. So after one hour
of preparation, we were ready to go. Once there, we sat in the dancing
hall where they did performed a dance show.
After that we learned some hip hop steps and Mr Esteves thought he
was a professionnal dancer, it was sooo fun!!
All the French were seating at the same table And we noticed three
Swedish boys alone at another table . Don't laugh but when we sat at
their table, they left without saying a word!!At the end of this “party”,
we took a lot of photos with the other Europeans.
