Dear Parents, As we near the end of our eLearning journey, we want to tell you thank you for all the support that you have given. Your children (and you) have done an amazing job of adapting to our crazy situation As we hear stories of struggles that other schools, districts, and states have had, we realize that we are far more fortunate than so many and appreciate all the time and energy that you have given to help strengthen your child’s learning. This week, your child has an assignment that reflects on what they have experienced. We would appreciate your assistance with this so their true feelings are accurately captured. We also are thankful for the many pictures showing your kids in their ‘eLearning classroom’. If you haven’t had a chance to send your child’s picture, PLEASE email it to us. We are wanting to turn the pictures and writing into a memory that goes into their IB portfolio. Also, this week, the kids are going to be learning more about weather. On Friday, there are optional science activities available. These will be posted in Google Classroom as a separate slideshow. The kids need your approval and PARENT SUPERVISION since some activities suggest cutting that may be unsafe. May 19th and 20th are our last two days with our lessons for your children. We will be planning some fun activities for the kids. We’ll share these with you next Monday. The week after Memorial Day, will be our time to meet you at school. This will be the time to return library books, borrowed technology, and collect lost and found items, or other items your child left in the classroom. We will be returning the postcards and information (postcard project) that we received, and also have a little something for each of our kids. We look forward to seeing you and/or your child for a brief moment. Per protocol, we’ll be keeping each other safe by following social distancing guidelines and wearing masks. More information will be sent out by Mrs. Bonilla and us next week. Sincerely, Mrs. Coulahan and Mrs. Kammerer
