ABOUT THE COURSE
The course will concentrate on outlining the peculiar features
of Production, Storage and safe Transportation of Natural Gas
and Liquefied Natural Gas by Sea and its related activities.

TARGET PARTICIPANTS
All those currently spear heading or involved in their coun-
try’s Natural Gas and LNG production, liquefaction, storage
and transportation or those identified to be spearheading
similar initiatives or projects of the participating countries.
There is no formal entry qualification. However, to interact
effectively and derive maximum benefits from the course,
candidates should preferably have working knowledge of
English and work experience at management level in the
related field trips
COURSE DURATION
The course shall be conducted over a period of 13 days, with
a minimum of 60 contact hours in class room and Educational
field.
TRAINING METHODOLOGIES
Lectures, group discussion, group exercises, case studies, sharing
or hands on experience will be supplemented with use of audio-
visual aids where necessary.
Relevant visits will also be arranged to further expose the candi-
dates to the LNG shipping activities.
The course will concentrate on outlining the peculiar features of
LNG Transportation by Sea and its related activities.

The course will be conducted by serving experts in the
Natural Gas and LNG field, MMA’s LNG experienced and qualified
lecturers; Master Mariners and Marine Engineers, holding Class 1
Certificate of Competency (COC) and, MSc. ERP, MSc. MET.

Food and lodging are provided by ALAM.
Fares
A return air ticket from the capital city of the recipient
country to Kuala Lumpur on economy class is provided
for all selected participants.
Visa and Vaccination
It is mandatory for all the MTCP participants to follow the Visa
With Reference (VDR) application procedure. Wherever
applicable, participants are advised to arrange for vaccination
on their own prior to travel to Malaysia.
Expenditures on all visa-related fees, airport tax/airport user’s
charge, transit insurance, excess luggage, travel tax, transit fees, domestic passenger terminal fees, phone charges,
private purchases, etc borne by the participants.
Participants from yellow fever-endemic areas including
diplomatic and official passport holders are required to
take a mandatory vaccination for yellow fever at least
ten (10) days prior to their departure for Malaysia and to
produce a Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate at the
entry point in Malaysia.
Course Fees
All course fees are borne by the Malaysian Government.
Medical and Dental Treatment
Candidates should be certified medically and physically
fit to participate in this programme.
Medical treatments are provided at government
hospitals/clinics only and the expenses will be borne by the
Government of Malaysia under the MTCP. In case of an
emergency, participants are eligible to be admitted to
government hospitals/clinics. Dental treatments are restricted
to extraction and filling only.

General Conditions of Award
Participants shall conduct themselves at all times in a
manner compatible with their responsibilities as MTCP
scholarship holders and abide by the rules and regula-
tion of the Training Institution
The award may be terminated at any time due to
unsatisfactory conducts, breach of the conditions of the
award or failure to make satisfactory progress
Participants are not allowed to bring along their spouses
for the duration of the course.
ABOUT MALAYSIAN TECHNICAL COOPERATION
PROGRAMME 2019 (MTCP)
The Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP) was
first initiated at the First Commonwealth Heads of
Government Regional Meeting (CHOGRM) for Asia Pacific
Region in Sydney in February 1978. It was officially launched on 7 September 1980 at the 2nd CHOGRM in New Delhi,
India, to signify Malaysia’s commitment to South-South
Cooperation, in particular Technical Cooperation among
Developing Countries (TCDC).
In line with the spirit of South-South Cooperation, Malaysia
through the MTCP shares its development experiences and
expertise with other developing countries.
Since its inception in 1980, more than 33,000 participants from 144 recipient countries have benefited from the various
programmes offered under the MTCP. More information at

ABOUT MALAYSIAN MARITIME ACADEMY SDN BHD
(ALAM)
Established in 1977, Malaysian Maritime Academy or better
known as ALAM is a well-developed, 40 hectares campus at the
pristine Kuala Linggi, Melaka overlooking the busy Straits of
Melaka. ALAM is approximately 148km south of Kuala Lumpur
and 252km north of Singapore. ALAM is wholly- owned by MISC
Bhd and is also a member of PETRONAS Education and
Learning Unit.

Embassies in recipient countries.
All application forms must be duly completed and endorsed by the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs or National Focal/Aid Coordinator Agency
in the respective countries (the relevant ministry or agency responsible for the overall coordination of international technical
assistance) and should be submitted ONLY through the diplomatic
channel via Embassy of Malaysia in the respective countries.
