Toowoomba Dog Obedience Club Inc. A Few Words From the President
Over the past 12 months the committee has worked hard to provide our members with a great training facility, staff and a few bonuses which I will discuss shortly. I would like to thank all the committee, staff and all those who volun-teered their time to help the club out of the last 12 months. We are also seek-ing helpers for our trials which we hold 4 times a year. This year we are ex-perimenting with some double trials which means we will be in need of more helpers to steward at these events. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone who can help out at these events step up and let us know when asked. The staff and instructors at the club would love to be able to compete at our trials but some are unable to because they are needed to help out as stewards etc. It is good to see that for our first Trial for the year we have few new comers to the trialing scene from our club. I wish you all the best and good luck on Saturday. For those participating in Rally-O, I am sure Darlene will be watching with her 4 by 2 to correct any handling mistakes. Just joking!! We will all be there to help you through your first experience in trialing. Remem-ber to breathe….. You may have noticed that we now have all the lights on the park work-ing and reliable. This came at a considerable cost to the club but it is things like this that your training fees go towards. All money raised goes back into the club. We will be holding a Easter raffle again this year. I would like to ask if you can to donate items that are suitable for Easter hampers. We will be put-ting several hampers together to be raffled off at easter.. I would also like to congratulate all those who trialed last year and re-ceived titles in their chosen activities. I especially would like to congratulate Lee Bryce in obtaining her Agility Champion 300 title. A lot of hard work and time goes in to obtaining a championship and I commend her and Barney for their dedication in achieving it. On to some exciting news. We now have a wholesale account with Next Generation Pet Food https://nextgenerationpetfoods.com.au/ in the coming weeks if you selected (YES) on your membership form to being on our mail-ing list I will be emailing out a price list which you can order from. All orders will need to go through me so that we can place large enough orders to get free freight. Money will need to be given to me prior to me ordering. They sell a huge range of treats, some dry food, medications such as flea and tick products. Please check them out and keep an eye open for my email. To close I would like to ask if any of you would like to become a in-structor at the club? We are always in need of helpers, if you can dedicate some time on Tuesday nights we will train and mentor you to become one of our instructors. Good luck with your training, remember have fun and enjoy yourself.
