1 Slip on a closely woven, longsleeved shirt (natural fibresare coolest).

2 Slop on broad spectrum, SPF30+ sunscreen that is waterresistant 20 minutes beforegoing outside - and reapplyevery 2 hours.

3 Slap on a broad brimmed hatthat covers the face, neck andears. The brim should be 6cmfor children and 8 - 10cm foradults.

4 Wear sunglasses to protect youreyes. Sunglasses should blockout at least 95% of Ultravioletradiation (UVR) and meet theAustralian Standard AS 1067.

5 Seek shade whenever possible -under trees, verandahs or shadecloths.

6 UVR levels vary throughout theday. They are hi9(hest from 10amto 2pm (11am to 3pm duringdaylight saving). UVR is stillpresent at other times of theday, on cool or cloudy daysand during winter.
