Final moments of Titanic……………..
![Page 28: Titanic - 102 years ago](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022081520/58f9ae71760da3da068ba2be/html5/thumbnails/28.jpg)
Titanic hit the starboard side with the iceberg.
![Page 29: Titanic - 102 years ago](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022081520/58f9ae71760da3da068ba2be/html5/thumbnails/29.jpg)
The under compartments of the bow started to flood.
![Page 30: Titanic - 102 years ago](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022081520/58f9ae71760da3da068ba2be/html5/thumbnails/30.jpg)
Due to the flooding, the bow commenced to go down causing the stern to rise.
![Page 31: Titanic - 102 years ago](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022081520/58f9ae71760da3da068ba2be/html5/thumbnails/31.jpg)
Initially the sinking was somewhat slower…….
![Page 32: Titanic - 102 years ago](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022081520/58f9ae71760da3da068ba2be/html5/thumbnails/32.jpg)
Yet the later part of the sinking was sort of faster and the golden funnels started to loosen one by one
![Page 33: Titanic - 102 years ago](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022081520/58f9ae71760da3da068ba2be/html5/thumbnails/33.jpg)
Titanic continued to lose her funnels while the stern was rising nearly 60 degrees from the ocean level.
![Page 34: Titanic - 102 years ago](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022081520/58f9ae71760da3da068ba2be/html5/thumbnails/34.jpg)
She was out of electrical power and the stress concentration had reached the maximum at the 2nd expansion joint of the ship which lied in between the 3rd and 4th funnels…….
![Page 35: Titanic - 102 years ago](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022081520/58f9ae71760da3da068ba2be/html5/thumbnails/35.jpg)
….causing the Titanic to split in two from the 2nd expansion joint…
![Page 36: Titanic - 102 years ago](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022081520/58f9ae71760da3da068ba2be/html5/thumbnails/36.jpg)
…right down to the keel of the vessel and the Stern fell back.
![Page 37: Titanic - 102 years ago](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022081520/58f9ae71760da3da068ba2be/html5/thumbnails/37.jpg)
The Bow submerged completely by pulling down the Stern vertically and then finally detached.
![Page 38: Titanic - 102 years ago](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022081520/58f9ae71760da3da068ba2be/html5/thumbnails/38.jpg)
The Stern floated a couple of minutes perpendicular to the ocean level.
![Page 39: Titanic - 102 years ago](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022081520/58f9ae71760da3da068ba2be/html5/thumbnails/39.jpg)
Then the stern flooded and floundered completely leaving no trace of the Titanic.
![Page 40: Titanic - 102 years ago](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022081520/58f9ae71760da3da068ba2be/html5/thumbnails/40.jpg)
The Bow traveled nearly 3km down the Atlantic ocean
![Page 41: Titanic - 102 years ago](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022081520/58f9ae71760da3da068ba2be/html5/thumbnails/41.jpg)
