The Tribulation
Last call…
…for flight Salvation
(Rev 14:6-7) And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and
people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is
come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea,
and the fountains of waters.

Last call…

(2Pe 3:3-4) Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days
scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the
promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as
they were from the beginning of the creation.
(2Pe 3:9-10) The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men
count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should
come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a
thief in the night…

A. The proclamati
on is multiple
(Rev 14:8) And there followed another angel,
saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city,
because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
NOTES
This is the 1st direct mention of the city of Babylon in our study of the book of Revelation. But will be mentioned 6 more time from here on out.
Why would God mention the that she has fallen 2 times in the same passage?• Stress his point • Convicting proclamation • Talking about 2 different thing?
NOTES
The law of 1st mention would take you I back to Gen. 10
In this chapter we find a man named Nimrod (rebellion) as a mighty hunter against the Lord
He is the King over a kingdom in opposition to God
He is building a city called “Shinar” (commercial) and a tower (religious)
The reason for the double proclamation is to announce that both have fallen
NOTES
Notice that God Calls it a City and refers to it as a “she”
• (Rev 14:8) And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
B. The proclamati
on calls out her
madness
(Rev 14:8) And there followed another angel,
saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city,
because she made all nations drink of the wine
of the wrath of her fornication.
NOTES
What is this fornication?
In the Bible, fornication can apply to…
• Those involved in the physical sexual acts outside of the confines of the marriage bed
• To the act of spiritual fornication involving false worship
Rev. 17
(Jer 51:6) Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his
soul: be not cut off in her iniquity; for this is the time of the LORD'S
vengeance; he will render unto her a recompence.
(Jer 51:7) Babylon hath been a golden cup in the LORD'S hand, that made all
the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her wine;
therefore the nations are mad.
(Jer 50:38-40) A drought is upon her waters; and they shall be dried up: for it
is the land of graven images, and they are mad upon their idols.
Therefore the wild beasts of the desert with the wild beasts of the islands shall dwell there, and the owls shall dwell therein: and it shall be no more inhabited for ever; neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to
generation. As God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbour cities thereof, saith the
LORD; so shall no man abide there, neither shall any son of man dwell
therein.
(Isa 21:9) And, behold, here cometh a chariot of
men, with a couple of horsemen. And he
answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the
graven images of her gods he hath broken
unto the ground.

Last call…

(Rev 14:9-10) And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud
voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark
in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his
indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the
presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
