A real estate broker with Menlo Atherton Realty in Menlo Park,
California, Todd Beardsley earned his Bachelor of Arts and
Master of Business Administration from San Jose State University.
While there, Todd Beardsley garnered induction into The
Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity's Delta Pi chapter.
An organization with origins dating back to 1868, The Pi Kappa Alpha
Fraternity began its life at the University of Virginia, where five
students at the “first truly American state university” sought to create a
new organization and wrote its preamble and mission on March 1,
1868. Dedicated to “the promotion of brotherly love and kind feeling,”
integrity, and intellect, The Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity expanded beyond the University of Virginia in 1868 when it approved a charter from Davidson
College.
By 1889, 10 schools asked to become part of the entity, though not all remained active. However, the fraternity survived, and 1933
marked a turning point for the group when a conference enabled
them to re-establish its national rules. Today, The Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity consists of more than a quarter million lifetime members
and 220 chapters across the United States and Canada.
