The Pergament Paint store and thePatchogue Stationary store became atotal fire loss on April 23, 1959. Thiswas the former location of the BeeHive department store. This JimMooney aerial photo shows clearly theextend of the damage. The intersectionon the left side of the picture isPatchogue’s ‘Four Corners’. Theburned building is the section of theRoe Hotel that survived the 1934 fire.Today this is the site of Blum’s lady’sapparel store.

A February 26, 1967 fire destroyed theSylvia Dee store and the Judson’s Men’sStore on East Main Street.

A fire at Dale’s Fabric Shoppe onEast Main Street, February 2,1968 also damaged the adjacentPatchogue Stationary Store. Asecond fire on February 13 madea total loss out of the damagedstationary store.
