2021 Auctions
The San Joaquin Junior Show and Auction Council, Inc. is pleased to an-
nounce that we have over 700 exhibitors signed up to showcase their live-
stock and vocational projects at our 8th annual San Joaquin AgFest. Enter-
ing into the 2nd year of Covid-19, we have adapted to changes and this
year have elected to give the exhibitors the best platform for selling their
projects by choosing a Live / Simulcast Auction. This gives you the op-
tion of attending the LIVE Auction or bidding from the comfort of your
home or office on your laptop or computer and bid in real time. We recog-
nize that putting on this youth show and sale wouldn’t be possible without
the generous support of our community of buyers and sponsors.
We would like to thank you for your continued support and hope that you
once again join us to participate in our junior vocational and livestock pro-
ject auction to support a decades-old agriculture tradition that teaches our
young people true lessons in time and capital investments.
For those who feel comfortable in attending our LIVE auction (with Covid
restrictions in place), registration of buyers at the fairgrounds will start 2
hours before the start of the auction. If you feel uncomfortable joining us
LIVE, you can register on www.stockshowauctions.com and bid real time
as the auction progresses. We will explain both options within this guide.
If you feel uncomfortable with both options, you can contact us and we can
PROXY bid for you or we can do phone bids. No private treaty sales per-
mitted.
*Note: All Replacement Heifers are sold live with Pick-Up/Drop
Off arrangements to be made after the sale. See our website for the
Replacement Heifer Sale Catalog. www.sanjoaquinagfest.org

the auction as it happens. You will need to pre-register anytime from
now until the sale with www.stockshowauctions.com. We advise that you

Dairy Heifers, Livestock or Swine. You will be able to switch between
the two Auctions on June 19th. Your screen will be divided into four
quadrants - left side of the screen will show live time bids and will have a
BID button that you can bid and a message screen if you want to send a
message to the clerk during the auction. Center screen will have a photo
of the exhibitor with the screen below showing the LIVE FEED. The right
of the screen will show the lots that are coming for bid with LIVE on the
current lot. If you are the winning bid, we ask that you message back your
CUSTOM or RESALE choice and the PROCESSOR CHOICE immedi-
ately following so we can mark the animals for process. More information
can be found in the following pages about registering and the simulcast.

The RESALE option is used if you purchase an animal and do not want to have it custom processed; it gets sold back to the processor.
Market Beef, Sheep, Goats & Swine have a “resale” value. Those values will be posted on the auction website under terms and conditions the day of the sale. It is typically a value by the pound.
Beef, Sheep, Goats and Swine will all be SOLD BY THE POUND
this year. Replacement Heifers, Rabbits, Turkeys and Meat Birds will be
by the Lot. The Resale Value (C) x the Certified weight of the animal (B),
will be subtracted from the Purchase Price (A) and the Buyer will pay the Balance (E).
Following are examples: The RESALE/MARKET price of the
animals will be determined before the sale. If you are bidding through the SIMULCAST, we will send you a bill following the close of the auction. Resale and Custom charges will not reflect the Stock Show Auction Statement.

jects. While these are an average cost bear in mind some of the exhibitors out-
lay in costs are greater depending upon their involvement. Keep in mind that
these are just their expenses and not including the hours that they put into the
project.
