The above table reveals that trend analysis – using method of least square for
prediction for the year of 2001 and 2011 for net sales. In the year 2001 highest trend
value in the Super Spinning Mills (244.68), lowest trend value to the Ambika (61.42).
and for the future period 2016 the trend value is highest in the Precot Meredian i.e.,
562.82 and followed by Super Textile industry i.e., 504.11 and the lowest trend value in
the Lakshmi Mills i.e., 59.35 followed by Prime Urban., There was continuous increasing
trend to Super Spinning, Precot Meredian and there was decreasing trend value in the
Lakshmi, Prime urban.

It clearly indicates the trend movement of selected textile industry in Table 4.5.1.
The trend value of Super Spinning Mills Ltd for the year 2000 – 2001 was 244.68 and it
was continuously increasing every year till 2010 -2011. And for the Precot Meredian Ltd
trend value for the year 2000 – 2001 was 217.5. The table 4.5.2 implies that estimates of
trend co-efficients for Net Sales of selected Textile Industry in Tamilnadu. It is clear
from the table that the significant difference between actual and trend values in Precot
Meredian, Rajapalayam Mills, Super Spinning Mills, Lakshmi Mills, NTC, Ambika
Cotton Spinning Mills Ltd. at 1 per cent level of significance. But in the case of Prime
Urban There is significant difference between actual and trend at 5 per cent level of
significance. Finally there is no significant difference in case of Shri Renuga and
Sree Karpagambal and Sambandam Spinning in both 1 per cent and 5 per cent of level of
significance.

The projection obtained for Net Sales of textile industry in Tamilnadu by linear
growth models listed in table 4.5.3 shows that Rajapalayam, Ambika and NTC have more
net sales. Table 4.5.3 indicates that the , Shri Renuga Textiles , Sri Karpagambal and
Sambandam Textile Ltd. are having marginal Net sales . Finding also points out that by
the year 2015-2016 Lakshmi Mills, Prime Urban, and Thiyagarajar Mills has decreasing
trend in Net Sales.

The above table shows that trend analysis – using method of least square for
prediction for the year of 2001 and 2011 for total income. In the year 2001 highest trend
value in the Super Textile Industry (256.86), lowest trend value to the Ambika (64.09). and
for the future period 2016 the trend value is highest in the Precot Meredian i.e., 571.22 and
followed by Rajapalayam Mills i.e., 491.02 and the lowest trend value in the Thiyagaraja
Mills i.e., (69.29) followed by Shri Karpagambal Mills. There was continuous increasing
trend to Precot, Super, Rajapalayam, and there was decreasing trend value in the Thiyagaraja,
Shree Karpagamabal, National Textiles Corporation.

The above table indicates the trend movement of selected Textile industry in
Table 4.3.4. The trend value of Super Spinning Mills Ltd for the year 2000 – 2001 was
256.86 and it was continuously increasing every year till 2010 -2011. And for the NTC
trend value for the year 2000 – 2001 was 249.61 .The table 4.3.5 implies that estimates
of trend co-efficients for Total Income of selected Textile industry in Tamilnadu. It is
clear from the table that the significant difference between actual and trend values in
Precot Meredian, Rajapalayam Mills, Super Spinning Mills, Sambandam Textile
industry at 1 per cent level of significance. But in the case of Lakshmi Mills there is
significant difference between actual and trend at 5 per cent level of significance. Finally
there is no significant difference in case of Prime Urban, Shri Renuga Tex, NTC,
Ambika Cotton and Sri Karpagambal in both 1 per cent and 5 per cent of level of
significance.

linear growth models listed in table 4.3.6 shows that Precot Meredian, Rajapalayam
Super Spinning and NTC have more net sales. Table 4.3.6 indicates that the Shri Renuga
Textiles, Ambika, and Sambandam Spinning Mills are having marginal Total income.
Finding also points out that by the year 2015-2016 Prime Urban, NTC, Thiyagarajar
Spinning Mills and Sri Karpagambal Spinning Mills has decreasing trend in Total
Income.

was continuously increasing every year till 2010 -2011. And for the thiyagaraja Ltd trend
value for the year 2000 – 2001 was 9.65. The table 4.5.8 implies that estimates of trend
co-efficients for Operating Profit of selected Textile industry in Tamilnadu. It is clear
from the table that the significant difference between actual and trend values in Precot
Meredian, Rajapalayam Mills, Prime Urban Ambika cotton at 1 per cent level of
significance. Finally there is no significant difference in case of Super Textile
Comapnies, Lakshmi Mills, Shri Renuga Tex, NTC, Sri Karpagambal and Sambandam
Spinning in both 1 per cent and 5 per cent of level of significance.

followed by Lakshmi mills. There was continuous increasing trend to Ambika,
Rajapalayam, Shri Renuga and there was decreasing trend value in the NTC, Lakshmi,

The above table shows that trend analysis – using method of least square for
prediction for the year of 2001 and 2011 for Reserves. In the year 2001 highest trend value in
the Precot meredian (100.44), lowest trend value to the Lakshmi (22.38). and for the future
period 2015 the trend value is highest in the Lakshmi i.e.,(231.64) and followed by Ambika
i.e., (202.65) and the lowest trend value in the Karpagambal i.e., (14.84) followed by NTC.
There was continuous increasing trend to Lakshmi, Ambika and there was decreasing trend

4.5.13. The trend value of Rajapalayam Mills Ltd for the year 2000 – 2001 was 61.91 and
it was continuously increasing every year till 2010 -2011. And for the Lakshmi Mills
trend value for the year 2000 – 2001 was 22.38 .The table 4.5.14 implies that estimates of
trend co-efficients for Reserves of selected Textile industry in Tamilnadu. It is clear from
the table that the significant difference between actual and trend values in Thiyagarajar
Textile industry at 1 per cent level and Ambika and Sambandam at 5 percent level of

2001 was 20.05 and it was continuously increasing every year till 2010 -2011. And for
the trend value of Khandhagiri for the year 2000 – 2001 was 18.72. The table 4.5.38

industry in Tamilnadu. It is clear from the table that the significant difference between
