The products elaborated in the framework of current mapping in rush mode activation arerealized to the best of our ability, within a very short time frame during a crisis, optimising theavailable data and information. A series of wildfires have broken out across parts of the Eastern Highlands of Scotland dueto unusually dry weather and the dry condition of the vegetation. The most serious of thesewas near Strontian on the Ardnamurchan peninsula, whilst others have occurred at Banavienear Fort William and also near Craig. The Highlands and Islands Fire & Rescue service succeeded in bringing the blazes undercontrol before they could reach nearby settlements. This is a reference map covering the territory around Strontian. The core users of the map are Civil Protection authorities involved in field operations. The scope of this map production is planning and recovery of woodlands in particular.

No restrictions on the publication of the mapping apply.Delivery formats are GeoTIFF, GeoPDF, GeoJPEG and vectors (shapefile and KML formats).
