YOU MUST COMPLETE ONE ACTIVITY PER DAY. It has been highlighted for you. Once you have completed your
must do, you can do a fast finisher/backyard fun. Your spelling words have been attached.
Make sure you look, cover, write and check your words EVERY DAY.

Using geometry, play Simon Says. Have family members create acute, obtuse and right
angles with their arms. Try having them make parallel and perpendicular lines.
Write and solve 5 expressions that require order of operations, e.g. 6 + 3 x 5 - 7.
Explain each expression and the order of operations to a family member.
Create a restaurant menu with appetisers, entrees and desserts. Use multiplication and division expressions instead of dollar amounts to show the price, e.g. instead of
$15, use $5 x $3.
Roll a die 2 times. The first roll is your numerator. The second roll is your
denominator. Use this fraction to complete the Fraction Fact File sheet. Show it to a family member when you have finished.
Choose a number between 1 and 100. Create a riddle about that number for your family to solve, e.g. I am a two-digit, even number. My second digit is a zero. If you divide me by two, I am 5 times as much as 5. What number am
I? 50!
Vowels are worth $50 and consonants are worth $40. Can you make a word that is
worth $280? How about $620? How much is your name worth?
Create a poster that shows the connection between multiplication and division. Use picture models and two-digit numbers.
Present the poster to your family.
Make a how-to guide for dividing a 4-digit number by a 1-digit number. Have a family member solve a division problem using the
guide you created.
Create a multi-step word problem that involves online shopping and has an answer of
$16.75. Have a family member solve the problem.
Use a Venn diagram to compare and contrast triangles and quadrilaterals.
Include at least 2 similarities and 2 differences.
The answer is 1/3. What could the question be? Create 3 word problems that
have 1/3 as an answer. Have a family member solve them.
Draw a pizza on paper. Cut it into fourths. Give each slice a different topping. How many pizzas do you need for each family
member to get 2 slices with the same topping? Repeat and cut the pizza into
sixths. Play a game of Rock Paper Scissors with a
partner. Hold up numbers with your fingers. The first person to say the product of the
numbers gets a point. The first player with 10 points wins. Try playing using two hands!
Grab 10 forks and 10 spoons from your kitchen. Create as many 2D shapes as you can with them. Can you make 3 different
by shapes using all 10 utensils?
The answer is $12.75. What could the question be? Write 2 multi-step word problems, one using addition and one using subtraction, where the answer is
$12.75. Have a family member solve both problems.
Create a poster that shows 4 examples of how we use decimals in everyday life. Use
illustrations to show your examples. Present the poster to your family.

Create a ‘gratitude jar’ for your home. Find an empty jar and put the
Gratitude Jar Labels on it. Each day, have everyone in your family write
something they are grateful for. At the end of the week, read them as a
family.
Take a sensory safari outside. Walk slowly around the yard. Pick up a rock and feel the textures. Smell a flower. Listen to all of the sounds.
Pay close attention to all of the small details as you slowly walk
around.
Grab 6 pieces of paper. Draw a large, 2D shape on each page. With
your finger, slowly trace the perimeter of the shape while taking
deep, mindful breaths.
Stand up tall and put your arms out to the side. Slowly breathe in and lean to one side, stretching your
fingers to the floor. Slowly breathe out while standing back up. Do this for 2 minutes, switching sides each
time.
Create a silly creature. Cut out different body parts, decorate them
and put them together to make a creature. Use an empty cereal or
tissue box to make your creature 3D.
Think of a situation in nature where a plant provides shelter for an
animal. Draw a picture and explain the interdependence that takes
place between the two living things.
Measure your bedroom in lunges, bunny hops, and tiptoes. What other ways can you measure it?
Create a colouring page that contains a word explaining the
emotion you are feeling today. Fill each letter of the word with di-
fferent geometric shapes or patterns. When you are finished,
colour it in.
Get a piece of paper, a ruler and a pencil. Use the ruler to draw straight
lines from one edge of the page to the other. Draw lines in all directions. Decorate and colour each shape.
What famous landforms and/or national parks are in your state? Locate them on a map. Create a
brochure that describes each one and encourages people to visit.
Write a song or rap to describe what it is like learning at home. Be sure to add in as many descriptive
adjectives as you can.
Start at one end of your home. Walk heel-to-toe to the other end while touching your nose. Breath
slowly and calmly. See if you can do this in 3 minutes.
Create a physical education (PE) class for your family to participate in at the end of the day. Lead stretches, then
play a game.
Research the capital city of your state. Create a poster answering
these questions: How was it chosen to be the capital? Present the
poster to your family.
Stand in front of a ticking clock. With each tick, alternate touching your head, shoulders, knees, then
toes. Do this for 2 minutes.
Analyse how you and your family have adapted to being at home
together for an extended period of time.
