Roses for Life
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, January 22, 2017 will mark the 43rd
anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court case Roe v. Wade which allows abortion on demand. The Church sees abortion as the taking of an innocent human life. Knights of Columbus Councils across Missouri ask you to let our government representatives know of our struggle to support the unborn and keep them aware of our pro-life beliefs. We ask you to do this by signing the Roses for Life you will find in the envelopes in each pew next weekend. Please fill out the tags on the roses supplied in the envelopes and mail one rose to each of your state and federal representatives who are listed inside the envelope. There are five roses inside each envelope. If you want the Knights of Columbus to mail the roses for you, take a few moments to fill out the tags and Knights from our council will collect them in the back after Mass. Mailing the roses individually will make a stronger impact but we want as many of these roses to get to our legislators as possible. Please mail the roses yourself so they arrive by January 22nd, 2017. The Knights of Columbus thank you.
A New Parish Pictorial Directory is coming!!
Schedule a date for your photo sitting by clicking on the link on the parish web page at,
church.stpatsrolla.org or by checking the parish Facebook page! Every weekend in January someone will be available after the Weekend Masses to assist you in the Narthex!

Guidelines for Adoration
** Arrive on time
** Never leave the Blessed Sacrament alone (this is why we always try to schedule two!)
** Maintain silence. No talking, this is an hour with our Blessed Savior. Do not bring anything that will make noise. If you have to bring a phone, put it on silence.
** Do not bring food or drink to adoration.
** If children are brought, they should be mature enough to remain silent and still.
** Be prepared if your scheduled relief adorer does not arrive on time.
Adoration Schedule for
St. Patrick is generally:
Every Wednesday 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday adoration is for an increase in Priestly Vocations.
First Fridays 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Legion of Mary Over two years ago interest was expressed in establishing a Legion of Mary group at St. Patrick's. During that time various people have come together in a small prayer group to pray and learn about the Legion of Mary and Marian Spirituality. Now, through the guidance of Fr. Dave, we will be moving forward in establishing a Legion of Mary group in accordance with the handbook. The Legion of Mary is a worldwide organization started in 1921 in Ireland by Frank Duff. The primary aim of the Legion of Mary is prayer and evangelization through Mary. We will have an informational
meeting in January for those who are interested in learning more about the Legion of Mary. Watch the bulletin for the date. If you have any questions, please contact Rosanne Emmett at [email protected]
