This week’s PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL ᵻ To the Prayers of the Faithful, please respond: Lord, hear our prayer. For Church leaders, that they lead the faithful to recognize and understand their own spiritual
gifts…we pray to the Lord. For unity of all Christians, that the Holy Spirit will lead all people to the Truth in Word and Sacra-
ment…we pray to the Lord. For all entrusted with the Word of God, that they proclaim and praise the mighty acts of God. For world leaders, that they protect the lives and inherent dignity of all they serve…we pray to the
Lord. For all graduates, that they be convinced of the Lord’s loving providence and emboldened to seek
His will in all things…we pray to the Lord. For those who are lukewarm, that the Holy Spirit will drive out the coldness and rekindle the desire
for heaven…we pray to the Lord. For the doubting and distressed, that the Holy Spirit will renew life and restore peace…we pray to
the Lord. For St. Michael parish, that we will become a community of missionary disciples—filled with the
Holy Spirit—who know, love, and serve the Lord…we pray to the Lord.
THE GREAT COMMISSION
“And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and earth has been given to me. Go therefore and
make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teach-
ing them to observe all that I have commanded you; and behold, I am with you always, to the close of the
age.’” (Matthew 28:18-20)
