Communication StrategyCAFTA-DR Environmental Cooperation AgreementIn 2005 the CAFTA-DR countries (Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and the United States) signed an Environmental Cooperation Agreement (ECA). This is the first Communication Plan for the ECA and it serves as a guiding document to set out a clear framework for the effective implementation of communication and dissemination activities.

This video is displayed on the United Nations World Wildlife Day website and it serves to raise awareness of the urgent need to step up the fight against wildlife crime, which has wide-ranging economic, environmental and social impacts.
Pathways functions as a policy-level dialogue where 17 countries of the Americas learn from one another’s experience to spread the benefits of economic growth more broadly to all citizens. The main objective of this document is to provide the Pathways to Prosperity in the Americas Initiative with a communications work plan that will permit the dissemination of its image, values, and main achievements in a clear and systematic way.

From poachers to hereosThe Bay of Cispatá is an area of high poverty levels in Colombia where communities of fishermen, farmers and hunters derive a vast part of their support from mangrove resources. The population of crocodiles located in this area has been subject to conservation activities that involve the participation of a community group of ex-crocodile hunters.

On October 2014, Pathways to Prosperity in the Americas held its Ministerial Annual Meeting in Port of Spain (Trinidad and Tobago). The role of human imagination and innovation in work force development and in empowering micro small and medium enterprises set up the tone of the conversation between country members and participating organizations.
