________________________________________________________________________ From the Organizing Committee
Dear Colleagues,
As you are aware International Day of Radiology (IDoR) is celebrated globally every year
on a theme to commemorate the discovery of x-rays. Emergency Radiology being the
theme for this year, it is felt appropriate to hold a CME program on this emerging sub-
specialty dealing with the diagnosis and management of the acutely ill or traumatized
patient in the Emergency setting. Time is of essence in emergency, hence the protocols
and procedural requirements of emergency setting differ from the routine.
With this objective a CME on Emergency Radiology is being organized at Nizam’s Institute
of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad on the 11th of November 2017 (Saturday) under the
auspices of Society for Emergency Radiology (SER) in which eminent faculty will share
their experience. Other highlights of the CME include the “17th Kakarla Subbarao gold
Medal Competition for best paper presentation by a postgraduate in Radiology” where
selected papers are presented by postgraduates from across the country. “Quiz for the
Postgraduates on Emergency Radiology” is another highlight of the CME.
This meeting is organized for the benefit of post graduates and specialists practicing
Radiology, Emergency Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and related allied Medical and
Surgical Specialties. Registration for the meeting is limited to 150 delegates on a first
come-first serve basis, hence you are requested to register early.
We welcome you all on behalf of the Organizing Committee to the Scientific Meet and also
request the Faculty and Consultants to encourage their Postgraduates to participate and
derive benefit from the scientific proceedings.
We look forward to meet you at the SER NIMS 2017.
