Charity Shoot Report
Page 6
After the September rain out of our charity sporting shoot the shoot was moved to November. A number of shooters who came to skeet on the Saturday set up the course on Saturday afternoon. A number of those camped out and enjoyed a wonderful camp oven dinner.
Sunday morning and we were all hard at it early finalising the targets and stands for the shoot. By 9.30am we had a great rollup of 50 shooters for the day including our local Mayor Paul Green and his son. As well as Councillor Greg Watson. It is good to see our elected officials enjoying our sport.
The weather was very kind and a warm clear day ensured a comfortable days shooting. The course had some very challenging targets (I had particular issue with the rabbit), However they were all breakable.
We had great sponsorship for the event which as you can see from the listed results allowed prizes to be given down to 5th place. I thank all the sponsors for their assistance. Please support our sponsors when you can.
Between the generous donations by our sponsors and your attendance at the shoot we were able to raise $1150.00 for a very deserving and worthwhile charity in our local community.
I would like to thank Power FM for their support in promoting this event. A big thanks to Dave Loose who put a large amount of time and effort into arranging this shoot . Thanks again to Gayle Loose for the wonderful job in the Kitchen. (please give the horses up and come back to us :)

Attendee’s:
Apologies:
MEETING OPENED
7.30pm
The minutes of the previous meeting were not read as the minute book was unavailable.
Correspondence in: Flyer outlining bulk cartridge purchase offer for clubs. It was decided by all present that it was not a viable option.
Correspondence Out: Nil
Treasures Report: See attached.
Discussion resulting from treasurers report as to large repairs and maintenance bill. Shannon explained that a large bill was presented by Warren Zamai for repair and maintenance work for traps etc done over a number years. It was agreed by all that this work was required and the club greatly appreciated Warrens efforts. After much discussion it was decided that all future bills should be presented in a timely manner to prevent them from becoming excessively large.
General Business:
Beth spoke about our club by joining with 4 other clubs to make a bulk purchase of targets allowing us a saving on our targets.
Allan Spillman discussed a number changes to the constitution which he will address at our general meeting prior to the AGM in February.
Allan also moved a motion that the clubhouse proposal to convert the existing containers to a clubhouse as shown in the August newsletter be accepted. The motion was seconded by Luke Marshall and was carried unanimously.
