Externalization is the process of articulating tacit knowledge into explicit form. In an explicit form knowledge becomes crystallized and shareable.
Externalization is key to create new, explicit concepts from tacit knowledge. A sequential use
of metaphors, analogies, and models are the keys to success. Meaning is discovered and
contradictions are harmonized into models that bridge image and logic.
The Externalization process is key because it create new concepts from tacit knowledge.
