Good Workers List 7
We hope you enjoyed your time off with family and friends. We are now
entering the last term of school! Continuing to send your children to
school with a good night’s sleep, healthy breakfast and lunch will help get
them ready to learn. It is important to continue your evening routines
including homework and home reading. These things will all contribute to
a successful final term and as well as future achievements.
We are very fortunate to have Science World coming to our school on Thursday, April 19th, Friday, April 20th and Monday, April 23rd. They will be offering a varie-ty of interactive scientific demonstrations. All intermediate students will play the role of detective by trying to identify a mysterious substance using some chemical tests. Primary classes will be involved in an activity which involves combining two substances and determining if the change is chemical or physical. This is a free pro-gram offered to our students that is funded through corporate sponsors. We are excited for our students to have this experience. Special thanks to Mrs. Crookshank for organizing this educational event.

On April 20th, our school will celebrate
Earth Day! Our E.C.O Team, which
consists of students from grades 4 -7,
will help organize the daily events. The
E.C.O Team and entire school will par-
ticipate in varying activities with respect
to the environment, conservation and
promotion of Earth Day as a constant
lifestyle. It will be a great day for focus-
ing on how we can all do our part to-
wards revitalizing and respecting the
Earth.

Once again, LaFarge (Texada Quarry) is
running a battery recycling contest.
Last, year, district wide, we saved $9,609
batteries from the landfill and we hope to push that
total this year, with all the children’s help!
Several classes are collecting batteries from now
through to Earth Day (April 22nd)!
Please NO car batter ies !

Parents of Grade 4 and 7 students will soon be receiving a letter asking them to participate in a
Satisfaction Survey. The survey is put out by the Ministry of Education to find out how people
feel about what is happening at Edgehill School. Grade 4 and 7 students will all participate in a
similar survey. These results are really important to the staff of Edgehill and we value all feed-
back. Please watch for your letter within the next week. If you have any questions, feel free to
contact Mrs. Gaudreau at the school.
Please remember to fill out the draw for a gift card and return it to the school office to ensure
your child has an opportunity to win a gift card.
