1 Muharram 1442

May I join all my Muslim friends, staff and students, and all Muslims around the world in celebrating the New Islamic Year. Salam Maal Hijrah.

Maal Hijrah (also called Awal Muharram) commemorates the migration of Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) from Mecca to Medina which symbolises

Peace and Progress. It brought in a whole new civilisation to the world.

In the midst of this celebration, let us not forget that we are still under the threat of COVID-19 pandemic. Do not lower our guard. Please strictly follow all the SOPs which are meant for our own good and the good of our

family and community.

We welcome the New Year with much anticipation and confidence, that through much diligence and close cooperation and goodwill, we shall

emerge stronger and better, insyaa Allah.

Go beyond; Be profound: Make a difference
