Eucharistic Adoration
“Be Still and Know That I am God.” (Psalm 46:10)
Spend some personal, quiet, one-on-one time with Our Lord Jesus Christ. Abandon yourself to Jesus in this "Sacrament of Love" and He will refresh you! He is always there waiting for you and He speaks to you in the silence. Eucharistic Adoration is open to all and is held every Tuesday from 8:00 am to 7 pm. and will conclude with a 7 pm mass.
We are in need of adorers for 8 am and 1 pm. If you are interested in becoming an adorer or, would like to have
more information about Eucharistic Adoration at The Church of the
Sacred Heart, you may contact Joann Di Liberto at 610 932 8962 or
you may complete a contact form and place it in the grey box (next to
the Statue of the Sacred Heart) in the Narthex and Joann will contact
you.
Eucharistic Adoration
Did you know? In order to provide the safest environment for our children on Sacred Heart’s campus those involved in volunteering or in minis-try are required by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia to have certain clearances. Whether you serve donuts at a parish social, help out once a year for your child’s field trip, serve food at Oktoberfest, or serve as a Minister at Mass, we are asked to make our environ-ment safe for our children. There are 2 basic parts to getting “cleared” for service in our church and/or school:
Security Clearances:
PA Criminal Background Check – free for volunteers and easily completed online
PA Child Abuse Check – also free for volunteers and completed online
FBI Fingerprinting (However, if you have been a resident of PA for 10 consecutive years, you may sign a disclosure form in lieu of fingerprinting)
Education:
Safe Environment – this class is called “Protecting God’s Chil-dren” and is attended in person. There is a complete schedule of locations and times for this class at www.virtusonline.org. The class requires one evening or afternoon for completion, at your conven-ience.
Mandated Reporter Training – an online class that takes approxi-mately one hour to learn how and when you have the obligation to report suspected abuse.
If you need access to a computer and/or the internet, please con-tact the parish office at 610-932-5040. Any new volunteer looking to serve in our parish community will be required to complete these steps prior to having permission to volunteer. Anyone currently serving in ministry will be contacted to review any items that may be missing from their file. We ap-preciate all the service of our volunteers and ministers. So many aspects of parish life depend on people taking leadership roles in ministry. Requiring these small steps will help us all feel more secure in providing the safest possible environment for our chil-dren to play and grow in their love of Christ. Thank you for your willingness to comply with these Archdiocesan guidelines.

Our Lady of Fatima Rosary
The Five First Saturdays Devotion
Our Lady of Fatima Rosary is recited every first Saturday of the month at 4:15 pm right here at Sacred Heart!
Here’s how to precisely fulfill the Five First Saturdays Devotion as requested by Our Lady of Fatima. Our Lady of Fatima promises all the
graces necessary for Heaven if a Catholic completes the Five First Saturdays Devotion. During her July apparition at Fatima, Our Lady said to Lucia, “I shall come to ask... that on the First Saturday of every month, Communions of reparation be made in atonement for the sins of the world. Tell them that I promise to assist at the hour of death with the graces necessary for salvation all those who, in order to make reparation to me, on the First Saturday of five successive months, go to Confession, receive Holy Communion, say five decades of the Rosary, and keep me company for a quarter of an hour, meditating on the fifteen mysteries of the Rosary.” To those who faithfully follow Our Lady’s requests for the Five First Saturdays, she has made a wonderful promise in which she, as Mediatrix of All Graces, will certainly fulfill: “I promise to assist at the hour of death with the graces necessary
for salvation.”

A City on a Mountain Lord of all good things, You have made us a blessed nation, a city set on a mountain, and have willed us to do for the least of yours what we would do for you. Make us a gen-erous people: Sharers with the hungry, comforters of the sick, protectors of the most vulnerable, friends of the alien, people of shelter in the time of storm, advocates for the oppressed, speaking out when-ever and wherever your people are threatened. Teach us to share graciously, as you shared all for us, to tithe righteously, setting aside a just portion for our poorest brothers and sisters, to give joyfully, knowing that we are pleasing the God who desires mer-cy over sacrifice, as individuals, as families, as a nation. Then will all know of your justice, of your glory. For a city set on a mountain cannot be hidden. Amen
