The check-out day for end of Trimester 3 is: Monday 23rd February.
If you do not have a Trimester 1 lease with us, you
must vacate your room entirely by 10am on the 23rd.
Please ensure your room is clean and tidy when you leave.
Financial penalties will apply to residents who leave their room
unclean and/or who fail to check out on time.

A brand new Air Hockey table and Foosball table are now in the resi rec room!
The balls and pucks for both tables can be borrowed from Resi
Reception just by leaving your Deakin Card and collecting once
returned!

All residents must observe the party/guest/noise-free period from Monday 9th Feb – Friday 20th Feb.
Breaches of the party, guest & noise-free policy will NOT be tolerated
and a $100 charge will apply.
Breaches include:
guests (registered or not)
noisy gatherings
noise when coming home late

showing consideration and respect for each other.

The permitted smoking area on res has now changed.
The only place you can now smoke is
the new seated area outside Units
G4/H4 at the Student Village (see photo).
Penalties will apply to those who are
found smoking on the MB decking.
Please don’t hesitate to see resi reception if you have any questions
regarding this change.

Chicken and peanut noodle stir-fry
Ingredients
Method
1. Combine chicken and red curry paste in a bowl.
2. Add noodles to a large saucepan of boiling water and cook for 4 minutes or until
almost cooked. Drain, reserving 125ml (1/2 cup) cooking water.
3. Heat a wok or frying pan over high heat. Add 2 tablespoons oil and half the chicken,
and stir-fry for 2 minutes. Tilt the wok and use a slotted spoon to transfer the chicken to a
plate. Repeat with the remaining chicken.
4. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons oil and onion to the wok and stir for 2 minutes. Add
garlic and stir for 30 seconds. Add sugar and stir for 2 minutes, then stir in fish sauce and
lemon juice.
5. Return all chicken to the wok. Add noodles, spinach and peanuts, and toss to
combine. Whisk egg and the reserved cooking water in a bowl and add to the wok. Stir
for 1 minute or until combined. Top with bean sprouts, if using, and serve with lemon
wedges.
· 650g chicken breasts, thickly sliced

· 2 tablespoons Thai red curry paste
· 300g dried rice stick noodles · 80ml (1/3 cup) vegetable oil
· 1 onion, thinly sliced · 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
· 2 tablespoons caster sugar · 2 tablespoons fish sauce
· 2 lemons, 1 juiced, 1 cut into
wedges
· 60g (2 cups) baby spinach
· 75g (1/2 cup) roasted peanuts,
roughly chopped
· 1 egg
Bean sprouts (optional), to serve
