Electricity generation with sediment microbial fuel cell equipped with

    air-cathode system using Photobacterium sp

A sediment microbial fuel cell with air-cathode system has been studied for a

prolong period of time. Current maintain a steady increase throughout the

entire time period and reached to its highest of 1.82 A at day 35. Electron

transfer pathway was understood by cyclic voltammetry study. Low current

density observes due to profound internal resistance (141) and reason for

high internal resistance is ohmic losses. Although, theres linear relationship

has observed between current density and power density. Water parameter

like salinity and pH has observed throughout the entire time period.

Phylogenetic analysis has done with 16S rRNA to identify studied organism.
