INFORMATION ABOUTTHIS LICENCE
Definitions of Terms
. A section on the definition of terms used in this Licence can be found at the end of thisLicence
. Terms used in this Licence which are defined in the Waste Management and PollutionControlAct(WMPCA) have the meaning given in that Act unless specifically indicatedotherwise
Responsibilities of Licensee
. It is an offence under the Waste Management and Pollution ControlAct, ifthe holder of anenvironment protection licence contravenes orfails to comply with the conditions of anenvironment protection licence
. In addition to the conditions set out in this Licence, general responsibilities of Licenseesare set out in the Waste Management and Pollution ControlAct and associatedRegulations and the Water Act
. Licensees must comply at alltimes with the requirements of these Acts and all otherapplicable laws
. Withoutlimiting the conditions of this Licence, in conducting the Activity, the Licenseemust do allthings reasonable and practicable to
o prevent or minimise the likelihood of pollution occurring as a result of, or inconnection with, the Activity;
o prevent or minimise the likelihood of environmental harm occurring as a resultof, or in connection with, the Activity;
o effective Iy respond to pollution and the risk of pollution occurring as a result of,or in connection with, the Activity;
o effectiveIy respond to environmental harm and the risk of environmental harmoccurring as a result of or in connection with the Activity; and
o as far as practicable
. avoid and reduce waste produced as a result of, or in connection withthe Activity;
. increase the re-use and recycling of waste;
. effectiveIy managewaste disposal; and
o apply the principles of ecologicalIy sustainable development
Duration of Licence (section 40, 43 and 45 of the WMPCA)
. This licence will remain in force untilits expiry date, it is surrendered by the Licensee oruntilit is suspended or cancelled by the issuing authority
. The Licensee must notify the issuing authority within 14 days after ceasing to conducttheLicensed Activity
. A licence may only be surrendered with the written authority of the issuing authority
Amendment or Revocation of Licence (section 37 of the WMPCA)
. The Licensee can apply to vary the conditions of this Licence
. Fees apply and an application form forthis purpose is available from the NTEnvironmental Protection Authority (NT EPA) website

. The issuing authority may also vary licences as set out in section 38 of the Act

. The Licensee may apply forthis Licence to be renewed between 90 and 30 days prior tothe expiry date

Public Register
. A copy of this Licence and any plans for environmental management will be placed on aregister in accordance with section 9 of the Waste Management and Pollution ControlAct
. The register is publicly available for viewing on the NT EPA website
. A copy of the Annual Audit and Compliance Report will also be placed on the register

LICENCE CONDITIONS
ADMINISTRATIVE
The Licensee must notify the NT Environment Protection Authority (NT EPA) within 24hours ifthere are changes to the details of the 24-hour emergency contact as provided onpage one of this Licence.
The Licensee must notify the NT EPA within 14 days ifthere are changes to the Licenseedetails shown on page one of this Licence.
The Licensee must pay an annual fee in accordance with the Act within 30 Business Daysof the anniversary of the commencement date for each yearthatthis Licence is in force.
The Licensee must cause clear and legible signage, in English to be displayed in aprominent location at the entrance to the Location including the following details:
. Environment Protection Licence number issued under the Waste Management andPollution ControlAct; and
. 24 hour emergency contact details as provided on page one of this Licence.
The Licensee must cause a copy of this Licence to be available at alltimes:
. on the Licensee's Australian website; and
. at the Site Location; and
. in each waste transportation vehicle.

OPERATIONAL
The Licensee must not collect, recycle, treat or dispose of listed waste other than the listedwaste specified in Table I.
The Licensee must not use a vehicle other than vehicles specified in Table 2 to transportthe listed waste as specified in Table I.

The Licensee must cause to be carried in the cabin of the vehicle being used for purposesof transporting listed wastes, as prescribed under this Licence, a legible copy
10.1. of this Licence;10.2. a manifest of the load being carried; and10.3. for interstate transport, a waste transport certificate
The Licensee must maintain a log of each complaint, made in relation to the Activity, toany persons involved in the Activity. The log must include details of the following
. the date and time of the complaint;
. the contact details of the complainantif known, orwhere no details are provided anote to that effect;
. the nature of the complaint;
. the nature of events giving rise to the complaint;
. ' prevailing weather conditions at the time of the complaint;
. the action taken in relation to the complaint, including any follow-up contact withthe complainant; and
. if no action was taken, why no action was taken
The Licensee must maintain and implement an emergency response plan whichdocuments the procedures to deal with emergencies associated with the licensed activity
The Licensee must ensure that allrelevant personnel have received training in theimplementation of the emergency response plan
The Licensee must ensure any plant and equipment used forthe licensed activity
14.1. is fit for purpose;14.2. is maintained;14.3. is operated by a person trained to use the plant or equipment; and14.4. is operated by, or operated by a person accompanied by, a person trained to
handle, store or dispose of listed waste in connection with the licensed activity
The Licensee must ensure all activities carried out in conjunction with the licensed activityare carried out so as not to cause pollution
The Licensee must ensure all vehicles and equipment used in conjunction with thelicensed activity are washed so as not to cause pollution
The Licensee must dispose of the wastewater generated from the vehicle wash facilitiesso as not to cause pollution
The Licensee must segregate waste for recycling, re-use or disposal
The Licensee must ensure there is no migration or overflow of contaminants beyond theboundaries of the land on which the premises are located
The Licensee must cause alllisted wastes to be delivered to a premises licensed tocollect, store, re-cycle, treat or dispose of the listed waste
The Licensee must comply with the National Environment Protection (Movement ofControlled Wastes between States and Territories) Measure, as varied from time to time

RECORDING AND REPORTING
All records required to be kept by this Licence must be in a legible format
The Licensee must maintain records of the nature and quantities of all waste streamsreceived at the premises
Listed waste records must be maintained in accordance with section 11 of the WasteManagement and Pollution Control(Administration) Regulations
Listed waste records must include
. The date of collection;
. the source of the Listed Waste;
. the name of the transport company, if notthe Licensee;
. the vehicleregistration;
. a description of the Listed waste;
. the quantity of the Listed Waste;
. the method of disposition i. e. storing, re-cycling, treating or disposing
The Licensee must keep records of all non-compliances with this Licence
The Licensee must as soon as practicable and in any case within 24 hours notify the NTEPA of non-compliances with this Licence
The Licensee must immediately and in any case within 24 hours notify the NT EPA of anypotential or actual environmental harm or pollution by contacting the Pollution Hotline ontelephone number 1800 064 567 and emailing waste@nt. gov. au.
The Licensee must comply with the requirements of section 14 of the Waste Managementand Pollution ControlAct
The Licensee must complete the provided Annual Audit and Compliance Report (AACR),Appendix I and provide to the NT EPA a minimum of 20 Business Days prior to theanniversary of the commencement date of this Licence, for each year of this Licencenoting that the NT EPA may require the Licensee to revise, amend and/orresubmittheAACR
