THE PROBLEM“We spent months sleeping in an office space because that was all i could afford to rent. I had to take showers at the gym, and my boys used a friend’s place.”
Julie Dubin is a mother of three who was left with nothing when her boyfriend packed up and left her. She tried living with family, but ended up moving into a homeless shelter. They helped her get back on her feet by providing her with money. This story strongly relates to our topic because in the time of her being in the shelter she could have used a bit of hope. Our bag allows relief from the burden of motherhood by giving mothers supplies in a reusable bag that converts into a changing table. (lafh.org)
