A laser is a device that emits light through a process of optical amplification based on the stimulated emission of electromagnetic radiation.
usually in the form of light that can not be seen or can be seen with normal eyes, through the process of stimulated emission.LASER = Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation

In 1957, Charles Hard Townes and Arthur Leonard Schawlow, at Bell Labs, began a serious study of the infra red laser. As ideas developed, they abandoned infrared radiation to instead concentrate upon visible light. The concept originally was called an "optical maser".

How does it work?
When the number of electrons in the atom receiving stimulant / energy from the outside, there was a release of energy in a time; process called stimulated emission .
Therefore, the workflow laser, electrons were first taken to a higher energy level . This action will make the atom unstable, so the electrons will quickly move to a lower energy level and releases a photon ( light ) .

How does it work
These photons will be reflected by a mirror in the laser, and its interaction with the electrons in the excited state will generate another photon, the wavelength of the phase and the same wavelength. These photons are reflected back and interact with the electrons in the excited state. The other mirror held laser is half-silvered mirror, which only reflect some photons, while others bust out. Rays bust out of this is that light is monochromatic, coherent, and single-phase, which laser light.

Fiber optic (optical fiber) is a flexible, transparent fiber made of glass (silica) or plastic, slightly thicker than a human hair. It functions as a waveguide, or “light pipe”, to transmit light between the two ends of the fiber. The light source that used is usually LASER.

Cladding material surrounding the core is the function reflects the light backCore is the deepest part or the core of an optical fiber comprising one or more fibers, this fiber which is the path for the signal light the nucleus (core). Coating Buffer (wrapper) or it could called jacket is the outermost part is a plastic coating that will protect the optical fiber from damage caused by outside influences. such as humidity, abrasion and damage.
