A hollow CCR prism is a tetrahedral construction by 3 surface mirrors, generating three total reflections. Any incident laser beam is reflected onto itself, regardless the prism orientation. As the incoming light passes only air (n = 1), there is no loss due to absorption and no chromatic abberation. Additionally the weight is significant less, compared to solid version.
